The Time 100 gala, which is an event to honour Time magazine’s ‘100 most influential people’ unfolded recently in April 2025. The event sees a great turnout of personalities from various fields including sport and entertainment, and not just the honourees, but even others, who are participants at the event. One such celebrity was actor Ryan Reynolds this year, who was also there to support his wife, actress Blake Lively—an honouree herself this year. The popular Hollywood couple showed up in style—Lively in red and Reynolds in classic black and white. Reynolds chose the Omega Speedmaster Pilot to go with his look.

Ryan Gosling In April 2025

From one Ryan to another… Actor and TAG Heuer brand ambassador Ryan Gosling made an unexpected appearance at Star Wars Celebration, an event earlier in April 2025, in Japan, to announce that he would star in the upcoming movie Star Wars: Starfighter. One of the recent actors to join the very popular film franchise, Gosling was in casual attire, accessorised with a baseball cap bearing the words ‘Never tell me the odds’. Along with this look, he wore a Carrera watch from TAG Heur. With a silvery dial complementing the 39mm steel case and bracelet, lending the piece a monochromatic look, this time-and-date Carrera runs on a 38-hour automatic movement. As it turns out, Gosling was wearing this Carrera even in his 2022 Netflix film, The Gray Man.

Earlier in April 2025, Simu Liu showed up at the European premiere of the Marvel movie Thunderbolts. The actor doesn’t star in the film, but was there to support his fellow Marvel actors, having played the lead in Marvel’s Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021). Liu appeared in an all-black ensemble, including a long overcoat. To offset this look, he paired it with a skeleton watch from Bulgari. A 2020 timepiece, this Octo Finissimo Tourbillon Skeleton Chronograph is one of the record-breaking watches from the collection. However, while the first record-breaking edition was in titanium, the one that Liu wore was a newer platinum version. Its 43mm case houses a 52-hour automatic movement.

Duplantis, who was seen wearing an Omega at the Paris 2024 Olympic games was once again wearing an Omega watch at these awards.
