SpotlightCarl F. Bucherer Shines at John Wick 2’s Premiere

The premier of the action film saw stars keep time with Bucherer watches.

May We Recommend

If you are a Keanu Reeves fan and you haven’t seen the first John Wick movie yet, you must see it. Don’t take our word, the 2014 thriller has an 85% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 7.9 on IMDB.

Well, the sequel is out and the premier of John Wick 2 was aired at the Arc Light Theater in Hollywood earlier this month, a launch that saw the who’s who of Hollywood present, and the CEO of Carl F. Bucherer, Mr Sascha Moeri. Why was Mr. Moeri there? There’s a reason behind that.

The star-studded event was hosted by Swiss watch manufacturer Carl F. Bucherer. The stars took to the red carpet in style including Keanu Reeves, who sported a Carl F. Bucherer Patravi TravelTec II in steel with black dial for the occasion. Director and Carl F. Bucherer brand ambassador Chad Stahelski wore a Patravi TravelTec in rose gold. They were joined by co-stars Ruby Rose, Ian McShane, Bridget Moynahan, John Leguizamo, Laurence Fishburne and Common wearing a Manero PowerReserve.

The brand’s distinctive Swiss-made luxury timepieces make their second appearance in the action film franchise, worn by Keanu Reeves and members of the A-list cast. Like John’s guns in the movie, his watches too, are real. Reeves wore a Carl F. Bucherer Manero AutoDate in steel + white dial in the first flick, and the second chapter will see him wear the same signature Manero AutoDate. And not just for Reeves, almost all of the Carl F. Bucherer timepieces featured, play a prominent role in the film. His antagonist Cassian, played by rap-star and musician Common, wears the Patravi ScubaTec in steel with black dial. Ian McShane as Winston also stays true to his Manero AutoDate in steel with black dial and black strap.

Mr Moeri's Watch
The Black Patravi TravelTec plays a key role in the film which was also Mr Moeri’s choice for the evening.
Black TravelTec Watch Back
The Black TravelTec is the world’s most resilient travel watch  –  A watch that has the ability to display 3 time zones and is made of Stainless Steel with a ‘DLC’ or diamond- carbon coating that guarantees low friction, high hardness, and high corrosion resistance.

“I couldn’t be more proud: our handcrafted fine timepieces are featured on the wrist of Keanu Reeves and throughout the movie John Wick: Chapter 2. And tonight we were here to celebrate this action movie…” – Mr. Moeri

Keanu Reeves choice for the evening was the steel Patravi TravelTec II, a clever triple time zone chronometer that allows the wearer to read three different time zones at a glance and a watch that would (spoiler alert) probably help John Wick in his assignment to Rome? Maybe! We’re not saying anything yet.

Cars, guns, stunts and watches – one really couldn’t ask for more! And you won’t have to wait long to see it all.

John Wick 2 will be in theatres in India on the 17th of February 2017.
