Big and Bold

Paying tribute to the military who were the first professionals to use the wristwatch as fundamental instruments for their missions, Bell & Ross made this timepiece truly military. A simple analog style gage, at a first glance, you’d say the case is ripped out of a flight deck of a fighter jet of the 50’s! And that’s what Bell and Ross are doing really well- whilst sticking to their tried and tested formula of paying tribute to the past, they’ve recreated the true military watch of the 21^st century: A khaki dial clubbed with a khaki canvas strap (With an option of a matt black ceramic strap). Add a Sellita movement, and voilà, you have the perfect military watch.

Functionality is the key

For Bell & Ross watches, each detail has a specific meaning and function. Staying faithful to the ‘military technical specifications’ as they say, the khaki dial is has a purpose attached to it as well: The colour has proved to be perfectly readable both day and night. The dial has a photo luminescent coating (Superluminova) which enables easy reading in the dark, protected by a scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass.

If you notice the red “MT” symbol on the dial (Between 7 and 8 o’clock) that mark is a sort of a nod to authentic military watches (MT stands for Military Type). Good to mention here that there are certain benchmarks every military type watch should achieve before it can be called one. Made entirely from ceramic, the BR 03 Military Type is lightweight, virtually un-scratch able and extremely comfortable. The anti-reflective matte black of the case and the khaki of the dial, which is the colour of military uniform, make it the ideal camouflage watch personnel would approve!

Celebrates the art of Military Camouflage:

Bell & Ross have put in a lot of original thought behind this timepiece as a tribute and celebration of the art of “Military Camouflage.” And it’s visible from the first look with the khaki green colour of the dial and the canvas strap, a colour sported by many military personnel and vehicles.

The only metal elements of the watch are the crown, four structural screws visible from the top, and the screws that hold the strap in place, which are all coated in the company’s proprietary black “Carbon Finish.” This Instrument looks great when in uniform as much as it does combined with jeans and a t-shirt with its sleek finish.
