Round-UpFive Must-Have Men’s Watches under Rs 30,000

Great looking watches to keep an eye out for this festive season

May We Recommend

In the past, men around the world may not have given much importance to their watches. But today, the watch on a man’s wrist defines his distinctive style and speaks oodles about his personality. Even though smart phones and smart watches are taking everyone by storm, a man’s wristwatch will always have a special place in his life.

These days, more and more men desire to dress perfectly on all occasions. The fashion-forward men are extremely particular about their looks and choose accessories that harmonize well with varied occasions. And what better choice than designer brands, the likes of Armani, Calvin Klein and Diesel, that have long and interesting histories of making great fashion and chic mens watches.

The men’s watch market has a plethora of choices. For the privileged ones who take an extra special interest in their attire and appearance, we’ve curated the perfect set of watches, apt for any occasion. These will see you through all of your eventful engagements be it a movie date on which you would like to flash a stylish watch, or a comfy easy going watch for that relaxed weekend hangout. Out of an otherwise wide and varied spectrum of designer watches, we have picked our top 5 favourite timepieces especially to match your elegance and panache.

The Safe Watch – Everyday Wear

Fossil Grant – inspired by the simplicity of vintage timepieces.

If you’re going to buy only one watch from the list, it’s got to be the Fossil Grant. This everyday watch is flexible enough for wear to work or a casual time out with friends. The Fossil Grant is an attractive watch, which is a bit more formal than a weekend wear watch but less formal than a dress watch. The watch retains a sporty go-getter image.

Fossil is a popular brand of designer watches for men. This model features a round 40mm case and black dial. The watch packs in a lot of attitude at a ridiculously affordable price. The design alone makes it one of the best men’s watches, while the resilience and utility make it your active go-to timepiece.

The Outdoor Watch – Activity Wear

Every sporty watch should have two goals – durability and reliability. Both these attributes are present in this Armani Sportivo watch. This men’s analog watch is equipped to be water resistant up to 100 meters, allowing the mechanism to function perfectly even while you engage in adventurous water sports or enroll yourself in scuba diving classes (Recreational scuba is generally limited to depths of no more than 42 metres).

Fastened with a black rubber strap, the imposing 46mm stainless steel case features a black uni-directional bezel with PVD finish. A perfect blend of technology, horology and masculinity, here’s that one watch to redefine your personality with!

The Casual Friday Watch – Leisure Wear

The Diesel Master Chief Watch has a casual laid back vibe to it, which is perfect for Casual Fridays at work followed by a fun post work drinks night – a perfect watch for both, your day and night ensembles.

We must admit, the looks of this one are far superior when compared to its very affordable price tag. Featuring a stylish stainless steel dial, a full range of features and attractive leather strap, this watch will add just the right personality to your look.

The Date Night Watch – Statement Piece

This Guess watch is definitely designed with the aspirational man in mind – a watch which will instantly make you look well-put-together for a date night, or any other special night for that matter.

Make an impression by flaunting the blue colored Analog dial GUESS watch.

A striking blend of rose gold PVD and dark blue, the watch case has a strong angular design, and fastens on a blue silicone rubber strap, making this quartz-powered timepiece all about the right balance between sharp and elegant.

The Weekend Watch – Designer Must-have

For the all-rounder enthusiast, who likes to play sports, head out for shopping or just relax at a friend’s pad, we recommend purchasing an ideal weekend watch like the Calvin Klein Core Collection City watch. It has the attributes to look effortlessly stylish and flamboyant while off-duty. This watch has a PVD rose plated case and is powered by a chronograph quartz movement.

One of the most widely recognized fashion brands in the world, Calvin Klein has created this watch to be durable, comfortable to wear and elegant; all this at a price point that just about everyone can afford without blinking.

You need to add Seiko’s orients victorinox and tissots, not Calvin freaking Klein.

These are probably the worst 5 choices anyone can ever write for best watches under 30000.

  • Santu June 29, 2018 at 8:16 pm

The author doesn’t have a clue what she is talking about. A list of fashion watches with cheap chinese quartz movements are must have watches…This is surely a joke.

  • karan patel June 22, 2018 at 11:16 pm

can anyone tell me In Raid Movie which brand or model watch wear by Ajay Devgan.

  • Aditya Kumar April 24, 2018 at 1:11 pm

It’s all part of their marketing strategy. Fashion brands provide higher margins.

  • Areesh November 26, 2017 at 5:29 pm

All fashion brands besides Fossil. No Tissot, Seiko, Citizen.

  • Tarun October 14, 2017 at 8:33 pm

    Yeah where is Tissot
    ?

  • Ayush tyagi October 8, 2017 at 12:32 am

How could you guys not include a dress watch here, isn’t it an essential and with some many beautiful options present with brands like tissot, seiko, hugoboss… They have got be here in this price range.. They have some of the most excellent dress watch in this price bracket.

  • Farhan September 22, 2017 at 12:26 am

This is just another promotion for the designer brands :-) I would rather go with Seiko Lord, Victorinox INOX or Maverick and Tissot…Citizen also has some decent watches in this price band

  • The WatchSnob April 27, 2017 at 10:53 am

Kinda surprising to see a collection of fashion brand watches in a ‘must-have’ collection when there are so many great watches under Rs.30000 from reputed watch makers like Tissot, Citizen, Seiko etc.

    • Venkatesh Veeramani May 21, 2017 at 12:42 am

Exactly.. The brands here are not soulful watchmakers. Brands like Tissot Seiko Casio have a standard which these cannot compete.

      • Vamsi Mohan Krishna Vadrevu July 6, 2017 at 5:33 am

India isn’t exactly a place where people appreciate horological masterpieces. People don’t even know the difference between automatic and quartz. It makes sense that whoever compiled this list isn’t knowledgeable in horology. They’ve listed watches based on looks and not function. First and foremost a watch should be functional. The indices and hands should be clear and legible. The movement should be robust within a stainless steel case with correct proportions.

      • Mayug M M October 16, 2017 at 12:24 am

Totally agree with you. I had go for a Seiko SARB or SKX rather than a cheap movement fashion watch.

      • Aman Mittal December 15, 2017 at 2:19 pm

        Couldn’t agree more.

  • Amol Fadnis July 26, 2016 at 4:58 pm

I think you guys missed: Tissot T0636171603700
    Its my favorite under 30K.

    • Aman Mittal December 15, 2017 at 2:16 pm

If Tissot is one of your favorites, check out the T Classics some of which are below 20K. Well I too prefer Tissot and Seiko in this range.
