Founded in 1860, by Edouard Heuer, the company was originally known as Urhenmanufaktur Heuer AG. It was later purchased by Techniques d’ Avant Grade in 1985, and came to be known as TAG Heuer. Since then, TAG Heuer has been popular among automobile racers, both professionals and amateurs. Their headquarters are currently based at Neuchatel, in Switzerland. The first chronograph, patented in 1882, and in 1887, by TAG Heuer has an ‘oscillating pinion,' still used by major makers of mechanical chronographs. The TAG Heuer LINK is the most stunning ranges of collection, that the company presents before you. The watches from this range have the characteristic bracelet links, which are designed with lesser gap and conceal all screw ends.
The Tag Heuer Link WAT1410.BA0954 is crafted to blend elegance with subtlety. Housed in a round, stainless steel case of 23 millimetres, the watch has a sleek look. With Roman numerals engraved upon it, the bezel is fixed and silver in colour. The black dial has a unique guilloche pattern, and is embedded with silver central hours’ hands that point at 11 diamonds. It is protected by a scratch resistant sapphire crystal, hence, increasing the durability of the watch. The stainless steel bracelet has characteristic links, which makes the watch stand apart from the rest. Owing to the dainty look, the watch celebrates the essence of femininity.
The watch is water resistant upto 100 metres under water, bestowing you the liberty to engage in light water sports without caring to remove the watch from your wrist. Powered with quartz movement, the watch keeps time with astounding accuracy. The dial is also equipped with a date display window at 6 o’ clock to make time keeping easier.
One of their most iconic watch collections, the TAG Heuer’s Link was revamped in 2011. It was originally introduced in the 1980s and has been a big part of the brand’s ethos since then. The core of the Link collection is connected to its bracelet that offers a unique feel and look.
The bracelet tends to be the standout factor for this collection with Tag Heuer having restructured the aesthetic substantially. The links in the bracelet tend to be flatter and angular with the space between the parts reduced compared to the older models. The bracelet was designed to have no exposed pins on either side illustrating some very ingenious engineering. The bezels stand out being polished, containing Roman or Arabic numerals. Instead of being round, the bezel ring tilts down giving it an interesting cushion shape.
The standard quartz watch is 40mm wide with a three-hand movement and is known as the Link Watch with Quartz Movement. The Calibre 6 model is 40 mm wide and also showcases a subsidiary seconds hand. The 42 mm wide Calibre 5 automatic features day-date functions.
