The TAG Heuer Formula 1 collection exemplifies the brand's belief in excellence when it comes to precise timing and sleek aesthetics. Drawing inspiration from the McLaren Formula 1 team, these watches are the ultimate witness to Tag Heuer's superior crafting and technological skills. A complete overhaul of the existing structure of the Formula 1 was witnessed in 2015, leading to two parallel editions of the collection, both of which offer ideal timepieces for racing as well as horology enthusiasts.
Design
Tag Heuer's reputation for innovation is upheld by the revolutionary ceramic made specifically for this collection. Watches from this collection sports cases made of stainless steel, which is coated with black titanium carbide in certain editions for enhanced durability and an athletic allure. Simplistic index markers with occasional Arabic numerals denote hourly intervals of time. The dials are offered in shades of black, grey, and white, with multi-hued adornments bringing out the artistic mastery of the brand. Feminine versions of this collection sport bezels and dials embedded with diamonds for an element of glamourous appeal. Fluted working on the crown allows for a secure grip for comfortable adjustment of time, while at the same time adding a dimension of intrigue to these watches. The bracelet options are numerous- ranging from mono-toned to dual-toned steel and rubber, to allow the watch connoisseur complete freedom in taking his pick.
Features
Until 2015, the Formula 1 collection was renowned for producing watches that sported only quartz movements. However, the latest edition of this line presents immaculate automatic movements for precision timekeeping. Most watches from this collection display the time in hours, minutes, and seconds, in addition to calendar apertures that provide a view of the current date. Chronograph versions of the line incorporate multiple sub-dials and tachymetric scales, controlled via additional screws positioned on the case.
Collaborations
TAG Heuer decided to move forward with the idea of positioning itself with certain brands. Apart from the brands, the collection also features limited edition timepieces made to pay homage to the legendary Formula 1 driver Ayrton Senna called the Formula 1 Senna. Apart from Senna, TAG collaborated with names such as Indy 500, Porsche, and Red Bull Racing.

The world of watch making has to go through different innovative ideas for increasing demand of timekeeping in different fields. TAG Heuer, one of the finest Swiss watch makers, always comes up with different innovations. The Formula 1 model is one of the examples. Inspired by Formula 1 racing, the watch delivers higher accuracy, readability and durability. It contains basic 6 features, which every sports watch should have. Coupled with chronograph feature, the watch has luminescent indexes and hands for better readability in darkness or deep water. The watch comes in stainless steel case of size 42 mm with sapphire crystal glass. The strap has double folding to avoid accidental opening during a race. Having a water resistance of 20 bar (200mt), it can be used for scuba diving as well. This well crafted watch is a must buy for all Formula 1 lovers.

A very sporty, stylish and sleek watch. And probably the best you can get in the price range. It is the ideal gift for a loved one who is into sports and appreciates brilliant Swiss watches. This TAG Heuer Formula One has a bold black dial and a large black bezel, with a tachymeter function as well for recording average speed. No doubt it is perfect for die-hard fans of racing who love such features in a watch. The dial is black with a red seconds hand and chronograph feature, which can record 1/10th of a second time for extra precision. I believe this is the ultimate watch a sports enthusiast can ask for. It has all the features you want in a sports watch and certainly has the looks! Even the TAG Heuer logo on the dial below 12 o’clock looks brilliant and gives a sporty feeling because of its red and green colour. It’s the best TAG Heuer watch that you can get in this price range and thus is perfect value for money. I would certainly buy this watch if I was looking for a sporty watch from a good Swiss brand. Way to go TAG Heuer!

Have recently purchased this excellent timepiece and am most pleased with it - as much as I was with my 1985 original Formula 1. After all my research, as I knew it would, this timepiece has exceeded all my expectations in actual use. Its quartz movement and functions are perfect. Day or evening it functions and fulfills all my needs as my original had done for almost 30 years. As a fair priced higher end (for myself) watch, I would urge you to treat yourself to this timepiece for ease of use, elegance of wear and true TAG Heuer performance.

Formula by tag has by itself benchmarked how a sports watch should look like not alike. Every detail is meticulous . Quality and tag are synonymous. An Variant to address both formal and relaxed attires

TAG Heuer Formula 1 series is an entry-level watch with all the hallmarks of a true TAG; a bold case, bright colours, chunky composite bezel and best of all toughness, which set the Formula 1 apart from its Swiss competitors. While TAG has moved upmarket with many of its model lines, at the price point the Formula 1 remains its most affordable, unique and durable timepieces. Design-wise, the Tag Heuer Formula 1 has outlived its trendy beginnings to become a modern classic. Originals from the 1980s are starting to be collectible and no doubt the latest Formula 1 Chronographs will be as desirable in another couple of decades.
