Collection
The Rolex Datejust Series encompasses elegant watches for men and women. First introduced in 1945, this was the first collection of watches to incorporate the date functionality in timepieces.

Design
The Rolex Date Just M116231-63601_ PNK 10BR for men defines understated elegance. Encrusted with diamond indexes, the round dial is an unusual and beautiful shade of light pink. The 12’o clock has the Rolex insignia detailed while the 3’o clock has a date window magnified by a Cyclops lens for easy reading.
The case window is made of highly scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, which is also anti-reflective in nature to enhance sunlight legibility. The case material is a delightful amalgamation of 908L steel and Everose Gold as is the watchstrap. Keeping in tradition with classic Datejust watches, the timepiece has a dial of 36mm. The dial features hour, minute and second stick style hands. There is one crown for adjusting the watch which gives the devise a clean, smooth finish. A president style bracelet with a deployant buckle provides a snug fit on your wrist.

Features
An automatic type movement enables the watch to harness energy from your wrist movements so you can add a dash of splendor to your daily wardrobe without the hassle of battery replacements. The watch is an officially certified chronometer and so keeps accurate time no matter where you go and what type of external environment you’re in. Additionally, a water-resistance of 100 metres ensures that your watch is safe from damage even while you’re simply relaxing at the beach or snorkeling. The date functionality is such that it changes exactly at the stroke of midnight.

Interesting Facts about Rolex
Rolex is the only watch company in the world which manufactures its own stainless steel alloy and gold in its in-house foundry. This provides the watches with unmatched quality and durability.

History
The Datejust collection was introduced by Rolex in the year 1945. This was the first wristwatch to display automatically changing date through an opening on the dial.

Features
Featuring a classic design and iconic style, the Datejust features a date window located at the 3 o’clock position for your ease in viewing. The date aperture showcases the Cyclops lens on the top, the most distinctive feature of Rolex watches. This lens magnifies the date by approximately two and half times for clear legibility. The watches in this collection have an oyster case, which is clamped shut and extremely robust. The core of the oyster consists of a screw-down case and a signed screw-down crown with twinlock system. This system renders the watches water-resistant up to 100 metres, enabling you to wear them for poolside swimming and snorkelling. The Datejust watches come with two classic Rolex bracelets, either the Jubilee or the Oyster. The Jubilee is a five-piece metal link bracelet with a concealed Crownclasp fitted at the end, and the Oyster is a broad three-piece metal link bracelet, which is quite popular because of its classic appeal. These watches have a standard 36 mm case, and are equipped with a self-winding mechanical movement manufactured by Rolex, the calibre 3135.

Associations
A Datejust was presented to an eminent gentleman by Hans Wilsdorf in 1947, on the 100,000th officially certified chronometer celebrated by the brand. The identity of this gentleman has not been revealed till this day. Christian Bale was seen wearing the Rolex Datejust 16013, in the movie American Pyscho. A Datejust has also been worn by Paul Newman in the movie The Color of Money, Bill Murray in the film Lost in Translation, and by various male characters in The Informers.

This Rolex is one of the finest watches in the collection. Understandably, it looks even more elegant and regal in actual than in the picture. The unique Everose Gold of Rolex makes it very subtle and lends grace. Also, would commend the service provided by the Ethos’ retail staff, which made the whole experience of purchasing this watch even more pleasant.
