The iconic Date Just II series from Rolex was launched in 2009. One of the recent models, the Date just II 116300 not only incorporates all the features of the earlier version of Date Just but is also further enhanced in its grandeur and make.
This gents' timekeeper has a round silver coloured dial and a pleasant combination of Arabic and white stick markers. The date function features a Cyclops lens over it which helps to magnify the numbers so you can tell the time in a simple glance. The sapphire crystal window over the dial is scratch-resistant and protects the watch from regular wear and tear as well as accidents of a more severe nature.
The Oyster case encompasses the mechanics of the watch and is 41 mm in diameter, a size that suits most wrists. Made of 904L stainless steel with a smooth finish bezel this timekeeper exudes understated elegance.
The watch is water-resistant to a depth of 100 meters and its twin lock winding screw gives it further protection from external elements such as dust and water. The built-in Paraflex shock absorber protects the device against jolts and impacts, making it the ideal buy for athletes and explorers.
The perpetual, mechanical self winding movement of the timekeeper harnesses energy from the wrist movements of the wearer to function thus saving you from the tedious process of replacing batteries time and again. The Swiss chronometer which is an indispensable part of the instrument comes with a caliber of 3136 and is certified by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC).
The stainless steel bracelet is a three piece link with a folding overclasp and a 5 mm extension link for added comfort. The craftsmanship of the instrument is such that the watch will last you several years to come, nevertheless the timepiece comes with a warranty of 2 years.

Released in 2009, the Datejust II Collection by Rolex is a worthy successor of the Datejust Collection. This range retains all the classic features of the Datejust watches with the added bonuses of an enhanced case size and a better-performing calibre.

Featuring a 41 mm steel case with polished bezel, the watches exude majestic elegance. For your ease of viewing, these watches have a date window at the 3o’clock position with the patented Cyclops lens over it. This lens enables you to view the date two and half times larger and is made of the same scratch-resistant and shatterproof sapphire as the crystal. The date automatically changes at midnight in a few thousandths of a second. The central part of this watch has an Oyster case, which can be clamped shut and has a screw-down winding crown and a screw-down back. The signed screw-down winding crown features twin-lock system and has two sealed zones, which make it water resistant up to 100 meters. These sealed zones are inside the crown and the tube of the crown, and thus ensure that the watches do not get damaged due to snorkelling or pool side swimming. Adding to the aesthetics of the Datejust II is the Oyster bracelet. This bracelet is comfortable and robust, and has a flat metal three-piece links at the end, which is universally used in the Oyster collection watches. The watches of this collection come with caliber 3136 perpetual movement. This is a self-winding mechanical movement made by Rolex and is a certified Swiss chronometer, a sign of high precision.

Several celebrities have been seen wearing a Rolex Datejust II including Oscar winning actress Halle Berry.
