Collection
An ornamental timepiece series specially designed for the needs of women, the Oyster Perpetual Datejust Lady  is a collection which follows in the tradition of the extremely admired Datejust series while adding its own special nuances. For instance, it incorporates a smaller 26 mm dial instead of the typical 36 mm.
Design
The Oyster Perpetual Datejust Lady 31 178271 has a round, silver dial with stick style hands in 18 carat gold. This timepiece features markers encrusted with finely cut diamonds and outlined with 18 carat gold. A scratch-resistant and anti-reflective sapphire crystal is used for the case window which protects the dial from external wear and tear. It also features a Cyclops lens over the date display for improved readability.
A 31 mm, Oyster monobloc middle case made of Everose rolesor, a beautiful combination of 904L stainless steel and 18 carat Everose gold encompasses the mechanics of the timekeeper.
A Jubilee, five piece links bracelet made of Everose Rolesor splendidly complements the silver hue and sparkle of the dial. The concealed folding crown clasp allows the watch to gracefully sit on your wrist.
Features
With an outstanding caliber of 2235, the chronometer is certified by the Swiss Official Chronometre Testing Institute (COSC). The automatic movement of the watch saves the need to wind it regularly. The instrument’s winding mechanism is bidirectional through the perpetual rotor. It also sports a fluted bezel and a twin lock winding screw that assists in creating a hermetic environment in the case. This protects the chronometer from damage against external environmental conditions. Additionally this timepiece is also water resistant to a depth of 100 metres.
Interesting Facts
Rolex uses the highest grades of diamonds in all their watches. (IF in clarity, and D-G in color (the four grades closest to white).

History
The Datejust collection was introduced by Rolex in the year 1945. This was the first wristwatch to display automatically changing date through an opening on the dial.

Features
Featuring a classic design and iconic style, the Datejust features a date window located at the 3 o’clock position for your ease in viewing. The date aperture showcases the Cyclops lens on the top, the most distinctive feature of Rolex watches. This lens magnifies the date by approximately two and half times for clear legibility. The watches in this collection have an oyster case, which is clamped shut and extremely robust. The core of the oyster consists of a screw-down case and a signed screw-down crown with twinlock system. This system renders the watches water-resistant up to 100 metres, enabling you to wear them for poolside swimming and snorkelling. The Datejust watches come with two classic Rolex bracelets, either the Jubilee or the Oyster. The Jubilee is a five-piece metal link bracelet with a concealed Crownclasp fitted at the end, and the Oyster is a broad three-piece metal link bracelet, which is quite popular because of its classic appeal. These watches have a standard 36 mm case, and are equipped with a self-winding mechanical movement manufactured by Rolex, the calibre 3135.
