Rado was formed in 1950 as Schlup and Co. Later, in 1957 they launched their first collection of watches under the brand name Rado. They believed in the motto: “if we can imagine it, we can make it, and if we can make it, we will.” This inspired them in creating a world famous brand.
The Rado Hyperchrome Automatic Men’s Watch R32165102 is an enduring everyday companion. It features a grey dial on which the silver coloured hour, minute and second hands are fixed that shows the time correctly. The steel stick index hour markers and the minute markers positioned at the outer rim ensure time legibility even in low light areas. It also has a smaller rim with 24-hour markers that makes the watch look more attractive. The entire structure is formed by silver case made of high tech ceramic that is light and durable. Made up of ceramic, the 42 mm silver bezel is attached with a black push in crown that lets you adjust the time when needed. A scratch resistant sapphire crystal case window protects the dial from regular wear and tear, and also ensures sunlight legibility. The solid closed case back protects the watch machines against internal damage.
Its ceramic bracelet features a black mid segment, complemented with silver borders on both sides. Measuring 20.3 cm in length, this bracelet is size adjustable and comfortable to wear. With the hidden folding clasp you can securely fasten the watch to your wrist.
You can view the date in the date window positioned at 3 o clock. This watch is powered by the advanced automatic movement, and thus keeps perfect time. Being water resistant up to a depth of 100m, this watch can be worn while bathing, swimming or snorkelling.
In 1917, in Switzerland, three brothers—Fritz, Ernst and Werner Schlup—opened a clockwork factory called Schlup & Co. From its humble beginnings, it is this same company that we today known as Rado. In 1957, exactly 40 years since its inception, the company changed its name to Rado Uhren AG and presented its first watch collection.
The monobloc case of the ceramic watches in this new Rado family represents a breakthrough in technology as well as a step forward in design. Lightweight, extremely comfortable and eye-catching, the Rado HyperChrome is the ultimate every day all occasion timepiece.
Key milestones in Rado’s impressive history so far include the world’s first scratch resistant watch, pioneering high-tech ceramic in watchmaking, the monobloc injected ceramic case and the introduction of touch technology in a ceramic watch. The brand was also the first to use plasma high-tech ceramic in the world.
