History
In 1917, in a small Swiss village, three brothers – Fritz, Ernst, and Werner Schlup, started a small clockwork factory. This was the foundation of the popular Swiss luxury watch brand, Rado.  In 1957, the brand launched its first collection of wrist watches. Rado revolutionized watch making by using materials, like ceramic and hard metal, in crafting timekeepers. The materials were traditionally used in tooling. The use of such materials made the timepieces more durable. In 1962, the brand launched the Dia Star 1, which became the world’s first scratch proof watch. Timekeepers from this brand are not only durable, but also are aesthetically appealing.
