Rado Coupole Classic

History
In 1917, three brothers Fritz, Ernst and Werner Schlup established in Lengnau, a small town in Switzerland, a watchworks factory, which was slated to become one of the largest watch-manufacturing companies in the world. This company, the Rado Uhren A.G., derived its name from the first line of watches that it marketed. In 1968, Rado became part of the ASUAG group. A few years later, ASUAG was acquired by the SMH Group. Since 1998, this group has been known as the Swatch Group.

Rado’s progress was based on the company’s belief in the advancement of technology. Ushering in the use of materials like hardmetal, ceramics, lanthanum and sapphire crystal, they revolutionised the techniques of watch-making. The Rado DiaStar, launched in 1962, was the world’s first range of scratch-proof watches. The line continues to be a hugely popular among many watch enthusiasts even today.  

Design
Inspired by the original RadoCoupole Line launched for the first time in 1987, this Coupole watch for men is a creation of studied sophistication. The stainless steel bracelet accentuates the smart appearance, while making the watch lightweight.

A round stainless steel case encloses a large, circular textured black dial. Setting off the matte effect of the dial are the silver-tone watch hands and stick hour indices. Scratch resistant sapphire crystal curves over the dial to protect it from dust, scratches and general wear and tear.

Features
This exquisite watch from the house of Rado delivers on the promise of performance. Powered by the Swiss made quartz technology, it provides precise date and time updates. A date window is mounted beside the 3 o’ clock position to facilitate easy viewing. In addition, it is also endowed with the feature of water resistance up to 50 m.
