Rado was started in 1917, by three brothers – Fritz, Ernst, and Werner Schlup as Schlup & Co. It started in Lengnau, a small town in Switzerland. In 40 years, in 1957, it became Rado Uhern AG, and launched their first watch collection. It soon began the ascent on the success ladder, and is now a leading brand in luxury watches, producing over half a million watches in a year, catering to roughly a hundred and fifty countries around the globe. In 1962, Rado launched their first scratch resistant watch under the name of DiaStar. The watch continues to be available under the name of Diastar Original. A trademark of the brand is the use of ceramic and hi-tech diamonds in the art of watch making.
The Rado Centrix R30934712 is a black and silver time piece for men. The stainless steel black case has a diameter of 38 mm, and rests on a hi-tech ceramic and stainless steel bracelet. The bracelet has butterfly clasps, and the case has a black push or pull crown attached to its side.
It has a very attractive and simplistic black dial, with square diamonds at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o’ clock positions. It has silver toned hands, which add to the sophisticated and sober design. This time piece is sophisticated and befits a gentleman.
The Rado Centrix R30934712 has Swiss quartz movement. It is water resistant up to 30 m. It has sapphire crystal on the front, making it strong, as well as preventing scratches and glare. The watch performs the hours, minutes, seconds, and date function. A date window at 3 o’clock performs the date function.
Some of the ambassadors associated with the brand are Andy Murray, Hrithik Roshan, Tang Wei, Agnieszka Radwanska, Renata Litvinova, Lisa Ray, and Julia Görges.
From day one Rado has turned visions into concrete realities. Pushing the boundaries of material technology and continually introducing the unexpected, Rado has gone from strength to strength in the field of fine Swiss timekeeping since 1957 and has produced one revolutionary watch after another.
The shape and style of the Rado Centrix collection makes it a watch to desire. The tapered, lightweight, flexible bracelet gently and sensually embraces the wrist, offering exquisite comfort and grace, as well as uncompromising luxury and sophistication. Every Centrix is crafted to perfection.
Andy Murray, Hrithik Roshan are among some of the famous personalities to endorse the Rado collections.
