Style, elegance and reputation are the three major qualities associated with Rado, the manufacturer of unique range of luxury watches. A watch belonging to this brand does not only keep pace with time, but is symbol of respect, power and achievement. The Swiss company, head-quartered in Lengnau, Switzerland, was the result of constant hard work of three brothers Fritz, Ernst and Werner Schlup who initially established the company by the name of Schlup & Co., a clockwork factory way back in 1917. It was after 40 years that in 1957, the company launched its first collection of watches after changing its name to Rado Uhren AG. By staying ahead of its time the brand mesmerized the world with its exquisite designs and mind boggling innovations.
The Rado Hyperchrome (model number: R32115203) is one of the most talked about Rado watches. Its vibrant blue dial, smooth silver body and the flawless finish justifies the need for this timepiece. A perfect piece for formal meetings and occasions for men, it consists of a wonderful stainless steel and ceramic case with a beautifully designed stainless steel and ceramic bracelet and a fixed bezel. The watch is 47.8 mm in diameter, with a round shaped case and it has a push button clasp with a transparent case back.
The traditional analog dial with luminescent hands and markers and a date display at the 3 o’ clock position, makes it the perfect watch for daily use. Features like its automatic movement, scratch resistant property due to the use of sapphire crystal and water resistance up to 50 m / 165 f increases its glamour.
The Rado Hyperchrome collection was launched in India on 29th January 2013. Brand Ambassador Hrithik Roshan felt honoured and excited to showcase the masterpiece.
In 1917, in Switzerland, three brothers—Fritz, Ernst and Werner Schlup—opened a clockwork factory called Schlup & Co. From its humble beginnings, it is this same company that we today known as Rado. In 1957, exactly 40 years since its inception, the company changed its name to Rado Uhren AG and presented its first watch collection.
The monobloc case of the ceramic watches in this new Rado family represents a breakthrough in technology as well as a step forward in design. Lightweight, extremely comfortable and eye-catching, the Rado HyperChrome is the ultimate every day all occasion timepiece.
Key milestones in Rado’s impressive history so far include the world’s first scratch resistant watch, pioneering high-tech ceramic in watchmaking, the monobloc injected ceramic case and the introduction of touch technology in a ceramic watch. The brand was also the first to use plasma high-tech ceramic in the world.
