Brothers Fritz, Ernst and Werner Schlup established a small watch movement’s factory in Lengnau in Switzerland in 1917. A few years later, this factory marketed it first line of watches under the brand name Rado. The wide popularity of this brand prompted the company to change its name from Schlup and Company to Rado Uhren. Recognising the immense potential of this company, the ASUAG acquired Rado in 1968. A few years later, the SMH followed suit. Since 1998 however, the SMH has been known as the Swatch group.
Right from the beginning, Rado proved itself to be committed to improvement of quality. Introducing the use of materials like lanthanum, sapphire crystal, hardmetal and ceramic, Rado enabled the production of durable watches. In 1962, the world was presented with its first ever range of scratch proof watches, the Rado DiaStar. DiaStar attested to Rado’s prominence in the world of watch-making. In 2004, this fame was secured further by the launching of the V10K, the hardest watch on earth, as certified by the Guinness book of World Records.
Minimalistically crafted, this wrist watch for women from the Rado Centrix Jubile Collection is sure to win the love of the modern woman. The clean black circular dial is encrusted with four white diamonds as the quarter hour markers. Gold tone watch hands contrast perfectly against the black colour of the dial. Anti-reflective sapphire crystal, of a 28mm case, ensures clear visibility while its scratch proof property keeps the surface mark free.
The duo-toned bracelet consists of gold tone PVD coated stainless steel with alternating black ceramic inserts. Guaranteeing the longevity of the watch, the materials also contribute to its light weight and enhanced appearance. A triple folding clasp secures the watch against slippage.
Scoring high on the feature quotient, the Rado R30930712, comes with a date window at the 3 o’clock position, enabling a convenient glance to know the date. Utilizing quartz technology it delivers accurate date and time updates. The watch is also endowed with a water resistance rating to a depth of 3 bars. This means that the mechanism of the watch remains unharmed till 30 meters underwater.
From day one Rado has turned visions into concrete realities. Pushing the boundaries of material technology and continually introducing the unexpected, Rado has gone from strength to strength in the field of fine Swiss timekeeping since 1957 and has produced one revolutionary watch after another.
The shape and style of the Rado Centrix collection makes it a watch to desire. The tapered, lightweight, flexible bracelet gently and sensually embraces the wrist, offering exquisite comfort and grace, as well as uncompromising luxury and sophistication. Every Centrix is crafted to perfection.
Andy Murray, Hrithik Roshan are among some of the famous personalities to endorse the Rado collections.
