The Luminor 1950 timekeepers are highly regarded as a unique Panerai collection for their ubiquitous vintage looks. With gentle curvy dials and dome-shaped case style, the Luminor 1950 timepieces continue to flourish in the luxury watch making industry with innovative features, and Radiomir luminous fills.

Famed for its classical case back and an uncommon design, the Panerai PAM00372 Luminor 1950 describes a masculine sophistication with its graceful material finish.  It employs a steel case brushed with silver adorning the looks of the watch with a black dial. The dial is engraved with luminescent Arabic numerals, and appliquéd indexes as the hour markers of the watch. Luminous hour hands complement the dial with increased readability in the night view and underwater visibility. The silver drawbridge, with the official patent of Panerai, protects the crown from the applied forces in the centre, as the wearer has to manually pull out the drawbridge before operating the crown for dial calibration.
An official Panerai brown leather strap is attached to the silver lugs of the timepiece optimized for wrist comfort as users can wear, and remove this piece anytime using its brushed steel buckle.

The Panerai PAM00372 Luminor 1950 comes with a clear, sharp and warm Plexiglas coating over the case window rendering the dial shatter-proof. Being water resistant up to a depth of 100 metres, this watch is an ideal for swimming as it can withstand accidental splashes of water. The see through sapphire crystal case back reveals the hand wound mechanical movements of this timepiece powered with a Panerai P.3000 calibre. It features hours and minutes function beating at 21,600 alternations per hour. Featuring 21 jewels, this time keeper delivers the brand signatory with an enormous power reserve of 3 days. This watch can be a great buy for men looking for simplicity in design encapsulated within high-end contemporary technological features.

Officine Panerai time pieces are famed for their classic case backs and uncommon case designs. The Luminor 1950 case style is highly revered due to the vintage effect it derives from having the case side swept back gracefully. Some of the Luminor 1950 models are reminiscent of the vintage acrylic crystals as they display a unique dome shape crystal for their case style. The Luminor models appear with gentler curves whereas the Luminor 1950 timepieces ar familiarly straight edged. The models are available in two sizes: 44 mm and 47 mm and are styled for large wrists. The crown protecting device used to keep the crown free of damage and water is a Panerai Luminor identifier.

The Panerai Luminor 1950 3 Days GMT is a well rounded substantial watch model that features the brand’s famous P.9001 inhouse movement. It displays functions such as a power reserve display, a return-to-zero mechanism for the seconds hand triggered when the crown is pulled into the hand-setting position and a second time zone. A polished bezel with a pillow shaped case is very distinctive of this model. The Panerai Luminor 1950 PAM 321 is another classic edition set at a 44 mm case diameter with an elegant black alligator strap along with the model. Officine Panerai based their horological spine on developing watches that had excellent visibility in both night time and underwater conditions. They developed the Radiomir watch, named after the luminescent substance used in its preparation, and was a staple on the wrists of commandos in the Italian Royal Navy. The Luminor watches were developed later, named so, after another luminescent substance (luminor) Panerai developed. The PAM00372 honors the original Luminor developed to better certain features of the Radiomir in addition to having a crown protecting device. This allowed it to be water resistant at higher water pressures. The PAM00372 has a hand wound mechanical P.3000 calibre with a power reserve for three days, housed in a massive 47mm polished steel case. The minimalist dial is a perfect example that depicts Panerai’s double dial plate technology where the upper plate has Arabic numerals and hour markers precisely cut into it. It has a polished steel bezel, a brushed steel crown-lever protecting device and a transparent case-back for the wearer to admire the exquisite movement.

Panerai Luminor 1950 3 Days affectionately known amongst Paneristis simply as the PAM 372 (PAM372) is one of the most popular Panerai models for its minimalist military style and iconic case. The case is entirely polished stainless steel instead of brushed. However, the trademark "device protecting the crown" retains its brushed finishing.

the PAM 372 utilizes the in-house P.3000 movement, a hand-winding calibre that measures a whopping 37mm. The P.3000 uses two mainspring barrels connected in series to give it a power reserve of 72 hours or 3 days - hence the name. The PAM 372 winds really smoothly, as if the crown itself was bathed in rich butter.

At 47mm, it is a big watch and this is likely to put people off. For those who do not understand and appreciate Panerai, is a lot of money money for a stainless steel case, two-hander watch - even if it does have an in-house movement.
