Oris Artix GT Date, Diamonds

History

Back in the 1970s, Oris launched its first auto-themed racing chronograph, the Chronoris. After the launch of the timepiece, the brand had collaborations with numerous racing organisations such as F1 Williams Team and Audi Sport Team. The Oris Artix GT collection is heavily inspired by these auto-themed timepieces.

Features

The Oris Artix GT Date with diamonds features a date window at the 6 o’clock marker and a timer scale at the bezel with diamonds studded on the hour markers. Apart from the Date with diamonds iteration, the Oris Artix GT is also available in a chronograph version called the Oris Artix GT Chronograph. The sub-dials featuring minutes, hours, and seconds are fixed at the 12, 6, and 9 o’clock markers. The retrograde seconds at the 9 o’clock marker resembles the starting line of an F1 track. Even inside the chronograph, the date window is perfectly placed inside the hours counter.

Movements

The Oris Artix GT collection is equipped with two automatic movements, the Oris 733 in Artix GT Date with diamonds and Oris 774 in Artix GT Chronograph. Oris 733 offers a power reserve of approximately 38 hours vibrating at 28,800 vph, whereas the Oris 774 offers a power reserve of approximately 48 hours.
