The De Vile Collection was launched by Omega in 1967. The watches of this collection have been associated with elegant design and unique style. Moreover, this collection is the result of one of the best watch making technologies used by the brand. The first timepiece to be equipped with the Omega Co-Axial escapement in 1999 was a De Ville.
The Omega 4847.50.31 features a sporty design. Brilliantly placed in a 41 mm stainless steel case, the watch exudes sheer elegance. The face of the watch is ornamented by a handsome black dial, with silver-hued 30-minute and 12-hour recorders along with a miniature seconds dial. Index hour makers embellish the dial with silver hands. A split-second hand enables the watch to tell time with greater precision as it allows easy readability of the intermediate time.
An elongated date window at the 11 o’clock position changes the date value with an instantaneous jump as soon as it strikes 12. You can witness the enthralling movements of the timepiece through its transparent case back. The exclusiveness of the watch is further enhanced by a sleek bezel mounted on the case. The face of the timepiece is efficiently shielded from scratches by a sapphire crystal. This glass features an anti-reflective treatment, which enables you to read time with ease even in bright sunlight. An alligator/crocodile leather strap complements the case and lends a classic appearance to the watch.
The timepiece is powered by the Co-Axial calibre 3612 and ensures maximum stability and reliability. Featuring a self-winding movement with the patented Co-Axial Escapement, the watch requires servicing less frequently. With a free sprung-balance system and silicon balance-spring, the movement is a breakthrough in the history of watch making. Having a power reserve of 52 hours, the watch does not lose its functionality even if it is unused for a long time. You do not have to worry about liquid spills on the watch as it is water resistant up to a depth of 100 metres.
The masterpiece presents a mechanical stopwatch with a "Split-Seconds" or "Rattrapante" for additional timing option. This feature can be operated with the help of the button, which is positioned at 10 o’clock.
Since its launch in 1967, the De Ville Collection by Omega has been synonymous with modern elegance and fashion. This collection has been a major example of the avant-garde watch making technology used by the brand. The first watch to be equipped with the exclusive Omega Co-Axial escapement in 1999 was a De Ville. This stylish collection of watches for gentlemen and ladies has been further enhanced in its several series – Ladymatic, Hour Vision Collection, Orbis Hour Vision Blue, De Ville Co-axial Ladies’ Collection, De Ville Co-axial Gents’ Collection, Prestige Gents’ Collection, Prestige Ladies’ Collection, Prestige Butterfly, and Trésor. The renowned Tourbillon is also under the De Ville Collection.
Launched in 1955, the Ladymatic collection features the smallest automatic movement made by Omega and was one of the first self-winding watch to be made exclusively for women by the brand. The watches from the Tresor collection exhibit a vintage “Clous de Paris” pattern and embodies one of the most highly developed mechanical movements revealed by the brand. With beautiful aesthetics and enchanting designs, the Prestige Butterfly collection showcases spectcular butterfly patterned dials and satin-brushed leather straps as well as dual tone bracelets. The Prestige collection features watches with timeless and elegant designs for men and women. Featuring classic designs and innovative watchmaking, the Co-axial collection contains four watches for men and three lavish chronograph watches for women. The Hour Vision collection enables the watch connoisseurs to observe the complex movements through sapphire glass apertures present on the sides of the case.
A transcendent work of art, the De Ville Central Tourbillon is the only wristwatch in the world with a central tourbillon. The watchmaker to create the exquisite skeletonized edition of the Central Tourbillon, has painstakingly spent over 500 hours. All non-essential elements have been sawn away by the craftsman in this piece of art. It features the exclusive Co-axial Calibre 2636 along with astounding design elements.
