The Omega Constellation123. follows the tradition of the Constellation Manhattan range, which was launched in 1982. A set of “Griffes’’ or claws was a new feature introduced with the Constellation Manhattan, to keep the sapphire crystal intact and to make the watch waterproof. The Omega Constellation123. proudly exhibits the four “griffes”, which have made it extremely popular like its progenitor.

The Omega presents a silver dial contained in a 38mm case, which is made of stainless steel. A stationary bezel crafted of red gold with a brushed finish, features engraved Roman numeral markers and is mounted on the face of the timepiece bequeathing it an enchanting appeal. Unified with the case through bevelled lugs is a bracelet made of stainless steel and 18 K red gold. This model features a day window at the 12 o’ clock position and a date window at 6 o’clock. Applied red gold index hour markers with luminous fill, allow you to keep a track of the time even in the dark.

A lone star at the 6 o’ clock position boasts of the rich history of the collection, as it has been the signature mark of Omega’s Constellation Collection for ladies since 1952. Watch aficionados can view the magnificent movement of the OMEGA Co-Axial caliber 8602 through its transparent case back. The rhodium-plated balance bridge and oscillating mass have been decorated with exclusive Geneva waves in arabesque for a mesmerising finish. A domed sapphire crystal glass protects the dial from scratches and also renders it shatter proof. The glass also features an anti-reflective property, so you can read the time easily even in bright daylight. A push button fold over clasp safely fastens the watch around your wrists.

The timepiece is powered by the Omega calibre 8602 and functions with accuracy and reliability. Its Co-Axial Escapement movement renders it the ability to withstand magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss. Equipped with a silicon balance spring, the watch is resistant to shock and environmental disturbances. Automatic winding in both directions reduces winding time. It has a power reserve of 55 hours owing to the 2 barrels mounted in series.

Equipped with a water resistant capacity of 100m you can swim, snorkel and go out in the rain wearing this functional watch. The day and date functions efficiently, both change with an instantaneous jump as the watch strikes midnight.

The Constellation Collection by Omega was launched in 1952, has since been renowned for its ultra precise movements and elegantly refined cases. Century, a limited edition wristwatch unveiled in 1948 on the firm’s 100th anniversary, is the progenitor of the collection. Due to the overwhelming response received by this watch, the brand launched the Constellation collection, which imbibed the same qualities. In 1982, the Constellation “Manhattan” was launched, with which the four claws or “griffes” were introduced that keeps the sapphire crystal case intact to securely render the watch waterproof.

The Omega Constellation collection has been exemplified in several sub collections that include the Gents’ Collection, Ladies’ Collection, Orbis Constellation Star, Sedna, and the Luxury Edition. The watches in the Gents’ collection feature distinctive design factors – the renowned claws on the case, horizontal links for utmost comfort, and a Constellation star, which is situated at the 6o’ clock position. Featuring a vast range of watches with different sizes, metals, dials, and diamond options to choose from, the Ladies’ Collection contains at least one watch to suit every wrist. The Orbis Constellation Star supports Orbis International – which gives advanced eye care to some of the most inaccessible regions in the world, and it’s Flying Eye Hospital. An 18-carat rose gold alloy, consisting of copper, palladium, and at least 75% gold, has been used to craft the Constellation Sedna. This breathtaking alloy adds an innovative and stunning appeal to the watch, giving it a long lasting rose-coloured hue. The magnificent Omega Constellation Luxury Edition watches showcase multitude of diamonds in spectacular supernova pattern, which dazzles the eyes of the onlooker.

A gold Omega Constellation “Manhattan” was worn by the former president of the Soviet Union, Mikhail Gorbachev. One of the 20th century’s most popular musicians, cultural icon, actor, and American singer, Elvis Presley had worn a black-dialled Constellation Calendar.
