Renowned for its globally acclaimed ultra-precise movements, embodied within striking refined cases, the Omega Constellation collection blends luxury with flawless technology. With an overwhelming response in the luxury watch market after its launch in 1952, Omega re-launched the collection in 2009, with vivacity in their dial design characterised by Griffes or claws.
The Omega Constellation 188.8.131.52.52.001 describes masculine sophistication with a dazzling design. Offering great durability, with its stainless steel case and 18ct red gold bezel, the two Griffes on adjacent ends set the timepiece apart in terms of looks. Complementing the red gold bezel is a silver dial enclosed within a scratch resistant crystal. The silver dial is beautifully encrusted with 11 precious diamonds as the basic hour markers of the watch, with a date window acting as the 12th one. Red gold minute and hour arms, with a white central fill, beautify the face of dial with unique looks. One can witness the magical movements of this watch through its transparent sapphire crystal case back. This time piece comes with a single tone silver steel bracelet, with the links coated in red gold. A red gold crown adds to the executive looks of this beautiful time piece.
The Omega Constellation 184.108.40.206.52.001 features self-winding Omega 8500 calibre, with co-axial escapement for greater precision, stability and durability. With 2 barrels mounted in series inside the calibre and the free sprung balance, the calibre reduces the winding time, offering a huge power reserve up to 60 hours. Water resistant to a depth of 100 metres, this timepiece is ideal for withstanding accidental splashes while doing daily chores. The legendary star, associated with Omega, adorns the dial at 6 o’clock, while the company’s logo is positioned just below the 12 o’clock hour marker. A domed scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, with anti-reflective treatment on both sides, protects the dial from damage. It also features a chronometer and date display window located at the 3 o’ clock position of the dial.
The Constellation Collection by Omega was launched in 1952, has since been renowned for its ultra precise movements and elegantly refined cases. Century, a limited edition wristwatch unveiled in 1948 on the firm’s 100th anniversary, is the progenitor of the collection. Due to the overwhelming response received by this watch, the brand launched the Constellation collection, which imbibed the same qualities. In 1982, the Constellation “Manhattan” was launched, with which the four claws or “griffes” were introduced that keeps the sapphire crystal case intact to securely render the watch waterproof.
The Omega Constellation collection has been exemplified in several sub collections that include the Gents’ Collection, Ladies’ Collection, Orbis Constellation Star, Sedna, and the Luxury Edition. The watches in the Gents’ collection feature distinctive design factors – the renowned claws on the case, horizontal links for utmost comfort, and a Constellation star, which is situated at the 6o’ clock position. Featuring a vast range of watches with different sizes, metals, dials, and diamond options to choose from, the Ladies’ Collection contains at least one watch to suit every wrist. The Orbis Constellation Star supports Orbis International – which gives advanced eye care to some of the most inaccessible regions in the world, and it’s Flying Eye Hospital. An 18-carat rose gold alloy, consisting of copper, palladium, and at least 75% gold, has been used to craft the Constellation Sedna. This breathtaking alloy adds an innovative and stunning appeal to the watch, giving it a long lasting rose-coloured hue. The magnificent Omega Constellation Luxury Edition watches showcase multitude of diamonds in spectacular supernova pattern, which dazzles the eyes of the onlooker.
A gold Omega Constellation “Manhattan” was worn by the former president of the Soviet Union, Mikhail Gorbachev. One of the 20th century’s most popular musicians, cultural icon, actor, and American singer, Elvis Presley had worn a black-dialled Constellation Calendar.
