The Omega Constellation 188.8.131.52.55.001 features a stunning and timeless design. It contains a 27 mm stainless case, with an 18 carat red gold bezel mounted on it. Roman numerals are engraved on the bezel and the sides have the patent griffes or claws, thus giving the watch an aesthetic appeal. A white natural mother of pearl dial is encased inside with the Omega and Constellation signatures. Like all other constellation watches, this Omega watch also has a constellation star in red gold situated above the 6 o’clock position.
The hours have been marked with brilliant diamond indexes set in 18 carat red gold. The red gold hour and minute hands are dauphine shaped, and feature luminescent fill, thus enabling you to view the time underwater or in low light conditions. Scratch resistant sapphire crystal, with anti-reflective coating, has been used to cover the dial, rendering it shatter proof and enhancing sunlight legibility. Stainless steel bracelet, with red gold links, has been used in the watch. The links are ergonomically designed, so that you can wear the watch comfortably. You can easily wear and remove the timepiece, as it has a push button foldover clasp attached to the bracelet.
This timepiece features the Omega Caliber 1376, which is a battery operated Quartz precision movement, with rhodium-plated finish. This caliber has a power reserve of 48 months, which ensures that it gives you accurate time consistently for 2 months. You can wear this watch whilebswimming, as it is water resistant up to 100 metres.
The Constellation Ladies’ collection is endorsed by the beautiful Chinese actress and model, Zhang Ziyi. This talented actress is considered as one of the Four Dan Actresses of China, and has starred in several famous movies like Rush Hour 2, and Memoirs of a Geisha.
The Constellation Collection by Omega was launched in 1952, has since been renowned for its ultra precise movements and elegantly refined cases. Century, a limited edition wristwatch unveiled in 1948 on the firm’s 100th anniversary, is the progenitor of the collection. Due to the overwhelming response received by this watch, the brand launched the Constellation collection, which imbibed the same qualities. In 1982, the Constellation “Manhattan” was launched, with which the four claws or “griffes” were introduced that keeps the sapphire crystal case intact to securely render the watch waterproof.
The Omega Constellation collection has been exemplified in several sub collections that include the Gents’ Collection, Ladies’ Collection, Orbis Constellation Star, Sedna, and the Luxury Edition. The watches in the Gents’ collection feature distinctive design factors – the renowned claws on the case, horizontal links for utmost comfort, and a Constellation star, which is situated at the 6o’ clock position. Featuring a vast range of watches with different sizes, metals, dials, and diamond options to choose from, the Ladies’ Collection contains at least one watch to suit every wrist. The Orbis Constellation Star supports Orbis International – which gives advanced eye care to some of the most inaccessible regions in the world, and it’s Flying Eye Hospital. An 18-carat rose gold alloy, consisting of copper, palladium, and at least 75% gold, has been used to craft the Constellation Sedna. This breathtaking alloy adds an innovative and stunning appeal to the watch, giving it a long lasting rose-coloured hue. The magnificent Omega Constellation Luxury Edition watches showcase multitude of diamonds in spectacular supernova pattern, which dazzles the eyes of the onlooker.
A gold Omega Constellation “Manhattan” was worn by the former president of the Soviet Union, Mikhail Gorbachev. One of the 20th century’s most popular musicians, cultural icon, actor, and American singer, Elvis Presley had worn a black-dialled Constellation Calendar.

The brand is now a part of swatch group positioned in the elite category.the constellation is the luxury designer series of the brand with highly collectible value.
The model featured is the one popularised by Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman (brand ambassador).the 12 diamonds are of high carat value. Along with the mop dial ,the dazzling of diamonds is further enhanced by the glitter of the mop dial. The sharp hands are luminescent with the rose gold star above 6 marker highlighting that the model is a true constellation. 27mm case is fairly sized to fit all wrists.
The two tone rose gold and steel combination is a class apart in terms of looks (from its competitors).the rose gold bezel with Roman numerals and a solid rose gold crown add a bold look to the watch.the band follows the trend secured with a button clasp.
The movement is premium quality quartz calibre with rhodium plating.
Final verdict: a great watch and a perfect gift to the woman of your life that can be cherished forever. The watch suits all attire from dates to formal blazers.resonance priced (for an omega)
