Longines La Grande Classique

Design
The Longines La Grande Classique L4.209.2.12.8 for women features an elegant and timeless design, and can be handed down for generations. It has a round shaped 24 mm case, made of stainless steel, with yellow gold PVD plating. There is a white dial encased inside, with the patent Longines Flying hourglass logo, and signature on the upper portion. Stick shaped indexes, printed in black, have been used to mark the hours. All the hours are marked with single sticks, but the twelfth hour exhibits two stick indexes.
Stick shaped hands in black adorn the centre of the dial for the hour and minute functions. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal that makes it shatterproof and resistant to scratches.
There is a yellow gold crown with notched edges present at the edge of the case near the 3 o’clock position, making it easy for you to adjust the time. President style bracelet in stainless steel, with yellow gold PVD plating, has been attached to the watch. A butterfly deployment clasp is present at the end of the bracelet, to provide you with a secure fit.

Features
This timepiece will not get damaged due to accidental splashes of water, as it is water resistant to a depth of 30 metres. It is equipped with a battery operated Quartz movement, which provides you with precise and reliable movement throughout. This Swiss made movement eliminates the need of excessive winding, as it does not get disrupted even if you don’t wear the watch for a long time.

Interesting Facts
After his transatlantic flight, which was timed by Longines, Chares Lindbergh helped the brand to design a pilot watch to assist in air navigation. This watch was built, as per his specifications, and is even produced till now.
