Upholding the values promised by an eighteen decade reputation of luxury watch making in Switzerland, Longines creates regular innovations in its aesthetic designs. Aiming to enter the sports luxury division, the HydroConquest collection was launched to overcome all the necessities of demanding sportsmen and women. It blends elegance with technical innovation in each of its time pieces, while expanding with new models in bright, vibrant colours over the years. Watches offered by this collection feature both fully automatic and quartz movements.
The Longines HydroConquest L3.618.104.22.168 signifies a blend of deep aquatic colours with the ever-adventurous yearning of underwater athletes for technological mastery. This sports utility time piece or Diver’s watch comes with a uni-directional rotating red toned bezel made of polished stainless steel, with a black lacquered and polished dial. Hourly intervals of time are marked by luminous Arabic numerals for enhanced legibility even in low-light conditions. The dial has Super LumiNova coated silver toned hour, minute, and second’s hands that are perfectly aligned to the indexes. Etched out minute and second marking indexes adorn the outer rim of this dial for an enhanced athletic appearance. Sapphire crystal glass casing renders the watch scratch resistant. With a 41mm wide case size, this sporty masterpiece holds the bezel with a steel bracelet available with folding clasp that ensures a firm grip on the wearer’s wrist.
The Longines HydroConquest L3.622.214.171.124 features Swiss ETA 955.122 calibre powered Quartz movements for immaculate timekeeping. Water resistant up to a huge depth of 300 metres, the time piece promises a sealed, isolated environment to its functional components. With the regular chronograph functions of hours, minutes, and seconds, and a date display window located at 3 o’ clock, the watch supports every in-depth under aquatic condition, delivering to the wearer incomparable sporty elegance.
The Longines Sport collection of watches celebrates the brand’s deep connections with all forms of sport since the launch of 20H, its first chronographic movement, in 1878. With the creation of multiple precise timekeeping instruments, Longines established its dominance in all things athletic, such as the Belmont Stakes, of which it is the official timekeeper. More notably, Longines was the official timekeeper of the first Modern Olympics, a fact which is commemorated by the Conquest sub-collection. The second variation of this line, the Hydroconquest, was created for divers across the globe. The Longines Sport, hence, embodies a unique blend of contemporary technology and enduring elegance, making it a favourite with the athletic watch aficionados.
Watches from the Longines Sport collection have a distinctive sporty appeal with their enlarged bezels available in multiple shades such as black, red, blue and silver. Their perfectly circular cases are made of stainless steel for long-enduring elegance. Pronounced extensions from the case house the crown and additional screws in each watch of this collection. Their crowns are fluted to impart an element of rugged appeal to the ensemble, as well as to ensure a secure grip while adjusting time. Protected by sapphire crystal casing, certain models boast multiple layers of anti-reflective coating for an unhampered view of time. The circular dials vary in tone from white to black, including unique shades of blue and mother of pearl. Hourly intervals of time are marked by new-age Arabic numerals and simple indexes, while specific versions are studded with brilliant diamonds. Longines adorns the bezels of some of these watches with diamonds as well for a glamorous dimension. Most watches come with exquisite dual-toned bracelets, while others sport durable rubber straps.
Most timepieces from the Longines Sport line come equipped with immaculate quartz movement for precise timekeeping functionality. Chronographic features on some of these watches, with multiple sub-dials and tracks, in addition to rectangular date windows, allow for an advanced horologic experience. Water resistant up to a depth of 300 metres, this collection offers true divers watches, upholding the Longines heritage.
