About the Longines Conquest Collection

History

Founded in 1954, the Longines Conquest collection was the first step towards the brand’s renewed strategy of product development and families. Before the 1950s, Longines did not create entirely in-house products. This development was a milestone in the legacy of Longines and the Conquest collection holds a special place inside the Weems of Longines.

Features

As simple as it gets, the Conquests also displays a bold yet charismatic persona on the wrist. In most of the timepieces, the Conquest features index markers and in some cases Roman numerals at the 12 and 6 o’clock markers. The hours and minutes are marked by meticulously designed by sword hands, whereas, there is also a date window at the 3 o’clock marker. Taking inspiration from the dive watches, there is also a protected crown. For women, the Conquest features a mother-of-pearl dial, providing a more elegant approach towards the bold Conquest.

Movement

The Longines Conquest collection is available in both quartz and automatic movement. Inside the automatic Conquests, the mechanical movement is the in-house L888. The L888 is a robust movement that provides a power reserve of approximately 64 hours.

This watch is one of the best looking watch in the economy range. I bought this watch last year and still it looks like new.
To be frank the picture is not doing justice to the aesthetic value of this watch and one has to look it in real to appreciate its beauty.
The silver case perfectly compliments the blue dial. The indices and the hands are polished in bright silver and gives a very upmarket feel to the watch.
I would definitely suggest this watch to anyone who is looking a watch in this range.

Well Of course, this is my first review and I have chosen this watch on purpose. Getting this watch in itself is an awesome feeling but that on my marriage, made it a lot more than a watch for me.
Tough to put it in a single category, Luxury or sporty ? Better term it a blend. One of Longines finest watches, all steel, which gives it a Luxury/Classy look and the blue dial for sure is sporty aspect of the watch.
Crown sits at 3'o clock and other 2 push buttons on the 2 and 4 respectively.

Sapphire glass, good to have and safeguards the watch from scratches.

Overall, this watch will always be on my favorites list.
