History
Longines, one of the most well-known luxury brand for watches, was founded in the year 1832 by talented watch maker Auguste Agassiz. He however started the business with a different name. The “luxurious yet functional” timepieces of Longines were greatly appreciated in the local market and soon started becoming popular in distant geographies. The legacy was passed to Auguste’s nephew, Ernest Francillion, in 1850 when Agassiz’s health started deteriorating. Today Longines belongs to the famous Swatch group.

Design
The Longines Conquest Classic L2.285.5.57.7 for women, comes in a 33 m round case made of rose gold and stainless steel. Its dial looks stunning in black and is set with 12 intricately cut VS diamonds. You can view the date in a date aperture stylishly positioned at 3 o’ clock. Studded with 30 VVS diamonds, the fixed bezel of the watch is made of 18k rose gold. The fine brushed and polished bi-tonal bracelet of the watch, exhibits a combination of rose gold and stainless steel. It features a folding clasp, which secures the watch properly and also allows ease of wear.
The sapphire crystal case window renders the watch shatter proof and scratch resistant. Moreover, the crystal’s anti reflective coating permits you to view the time clearly even in bright sunlight.
