The Longines Watchmaking Tradition Collection of watches, as its name suggests, exemplifies the masterful aesthetics, superior technology, and refined crafting the brand is renowned for. This line of watches commemorates Longines’ success, which stems from its incessant and commendable evolution of movements- from the self-winding calibre 22A in 1945, to the innovative column-wheel technique in 2009, and most recently, the Single Push-Piece Column-wheel in 2012. The sub-collections offered by the Watchmaking Tradition line are the Longines Master, Longines evidenza, Longines Saint-Imier, Conquest Classic, and Longines Elegant.
Watches from the Longines Watchmaking Collection are incredibly varied in their styles, while at the same time incorporating the classic elegance inherent to the brand. The cases range from perfectly circular to the magnificent tonneau, made of materials such as stainless steel and 18K gold. Encased by sapphire crystal glass, each watch from this line is scratch-resistant for long enduring timekeeping. Most crowns are fluted to allow easy time adjustment along with a rugged element of appeal. The dials are offered in options ranging from shades of black to white, with particular models offering the unique shade of gilt or mother of pearl. Longines adorns the dials and bezels of specific watches with brilliant diamonds for a glamourous and sophisticated allure. Hourly intervals of time may be marked by traditional Roman numerals or contemporary Arabic numbers, while the hands are crafted of steel and plated in accordance with the theme of the ensemble. Longines for sure make really great watches, both in design and mechanics. Lots of mechanism is built and keeps rocking within 40mm space but can still see the time, day, month and date! And chronograph to boot! Now that's a watch!
It comes with a charismatic appeal - Hours, minutes, small seconds with 24 hours indicator at 9 o'clock. Date indicated by the half moon central hand.
Chronograph mechanism : central 60 seconds hand, moon phase display with 12 hours counter at 6 o'clock, 30 minutes counter with day and month display at 12 o'clock.
With skeleton case back, scratch proof sapphire crystal glass, water resistant upto 100 feet, Luminescent hands and markers make this watch strikingly beautiful.
Lovely watch, not too big, heavy or showy but has a lot of useful functions, although adjustment is easy enough. Looks quite complicated at first but is actually easy to read once you get the hang of it. So, If you like watches, want a classic swiss automatic with great features, a robust movement from a great luxury brand that isn't too ostentatious and will also paradoxically provide some real value for money, this is the watch for you.

The brand is popularised by the Indian diva Aishwarya Rai and Simon baker of the mentalist fame.
The model featured here is a must have for a perfect man.endorsed by Simon baker himself, this is a timepiece owned by a huge list of celebrities.
The calibre l678 is an impressive self winding movement heavily loaded with complications such as the moon phase ,1/20 second chronograph, day date month indicator (perpetual)and still offers a power reserve of 48 hours .a challenge to elite brands such as IWC or JLC. Scratch resistant sapphire crystal is used in both the front and the case back.the embossing and other fine details of Swiss watch making is very clear through the case back.
the blue hands is a tradition followed by Longines, Cartier and Breguet that adds a royal touch to the watch.the blue hands stand out on the silver "barley corn "dial .the 21mm brown alligator leather strap with a triple lock folding clasp engraved with Longines logo ensures that the watch is securely fastened to the wrist.
Overall verdict: a perfect gentleman's watch at a reasonable rate that is a classic icon.worth every penny for the features and the craftsmanship
