About the Carl F. Bucherer Manero Collection

Manero-A Timeless Classic

The Carl F. Bucherer Manero collection is home to an elegant set of timepieces that takes its inspiration from the watches created by the brand during the 50s and 60s. Be it the classic round case or the perfect cocktail of dauphine hands with index markers, the Manero collection is a timeless classic. A dress watch, the Manero collection is also home to certain sports watches such as the Manero Flyback and Manero Chronoperpetual.

Features

The Manero collection is a versatile collection. From being a formal dress watch to a friendly cockpit instrument, Manero is home to various features such as a tourbillon, small seconds, minute repeater, power reserve, moon phase, chronographs, and tachymeter. The date window in series such as Manero Peripheral, Manero Autodate, and Manero Autodate Love is fixed at the 3 o’clock marker. Whereas, in the Manero Peripheral Bigdate, the large date window is fixed at the 11 o’clock marker and a power reserve indicator at the 3 o’clock marker. Inside the Manero Moonphase series, the moon phase is fixed at the 6 o’clock marker and the day and month window at the 12 o’clock marker. Series such as the Flyback is sports-oriented with a tachymeter on the outskirts of the dial and two chronographs located at the 3 and the 6 o’clock marker. The limited-edition Manero Flyback Signature is offered with a rollerball pen made by Swiss writing instruments manufacturer Caran d’Ache.

The Minute Repeater Symphony

There are plenty of unique features inside the collection. One such unique feature is inside the Manero Minute Repeater Symphony. For decades, the brand has established itself as a pioneer in the watchmaking industry. Tracing back to the roots, the Minute Repeater Symphony is home to the minute repeater mechanism that is mounted peripherally on three low-friction ceramic balls. This is the first time a minute repeater complication is fixed peripherally and makes this Manero a pioneer in the watchmaking industry. Apart from this complication, the timepiece is also home to a peripherally suspended tourbillon at the 12 o’clock marker.

The Manero Chronoperpetual

It is very well understood that the world of mechanical horology needs correction over a period of time. Well, this is not the case with the Manero Chronoperpetual. A perpetually correct timepiece, the Chronoperpetual does not need any correction up until 100 years. Diving into the complicated dial, the Chronoperpetual is home to three sub-dials. Under the 12 o’clock marker is an oval sub-dial indicating the date and inside the sub-dial is also a small seconds marker. At the 6 o’clock marker is the 12-hour chronograph displayed over the main sub-dial and the day/date is marked by a silver outer ring on the sub-dial. At the 9 o’clock marker, there are three indications in the sub-dial. At the centre is the leap-year indicator, whereas, the month and a 30-minute chronograph are on the periphery of the dial. Apart from these three sub-dials, the timepiece is also home to a moon phase at the 3 o’clock marker and a tachymeter at the periphery of the dial.
