Boldly futuristic yet steeped in Urwerk's legacy, the UR-101 T-Rex reinterprets the brand’s first watch from 1997 in a limited-edition run of just 100 pieces. Its bronze case, intricately guilloché-engraved to mimic the scales of a prehistoric creature, delivers a unique tactile experience and standout aesthetic. At 41mm wide, it sits comfortably on the wrist while exuding serious presence. The wandering hours complication—a hallmark of Urwerk—remains the centrepiece, displaying time via two rotating satellite discs with luminous markers. Powered by the in-house UR 1.02 automatic calibre, this watch offers a 48-hour power reserve. The UR-101 T-Rex is more than a timekeeper—it’s a piece of horological art, combining avant-garde design with mechanical precision for collectors who appreciate the unconventional.

About the Urwerk UR-Satellite Collection
Every Urwerk watch is curated with an unconventional and non-conformist attitude, redefining how to read time on a wristwatch. And nowhere is it more accurate than with the Urwerk UR-Satellite collection. These watches are known for their eccentric look and the iconic satellite display, after which the collection is named.
The brand's signature wandering hour satellites constitute one of the most complex dial layouts of all time. They have been a part of the brand's design book since 2003 with the launch of the UR-103. Today, that structure has evolved into even more elaborate and intricate formats, realised into various cool and handsome timepieces of the UR-Satellite collection.
Urwerk's Satellite Display
Urwerk's satellite display is an ingenious invention that has solidified the brand's standing in the world of watchmaking. Despite its initial complexity, the configuration is nothing short of a super cool spectacle on the wrist. It features a semicircular minutes scale typically located at the bottom of the dial. Cleverly positioned satellite arms, mostly three and sometimes four, ensure that only one arm is visible at a time, pointing to the minute scale. These arms rotate after every 60 minutes. Each arm has rotating discs or "satellites" attached, marked with numbers to indicate the hours. This configuration allows the satellites to correctly display the current hour and minutes simultaneously.
A Mechanical Revolution
Urwerk are a brand known for continuously pushing boundaries and they have elevated their UR-Satellite watches with distinct complications and design elements. In the UR-230 Eagle, the brand introduced a mobile cover on the case, and they split the satellites into two for the UR-120. But the choice of complications is where Urwerk really punch above their weight. These watches are loaded with exceptional astronomical indications, such as measuring the time required for a ray of light to reach each planet, the rotation of the Earth in 20 minutes, and the revolution of the Earth around the Sun in 20 minutes.

ABOUT THE MOVEMENT
The UR-1.02 calibre powers the UR-101 with Urwerk’s signature ingenuity. This self-winding movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and is fitted with 28 jewels to reduce friction and wear. It utilises a traditional Swiss lever escapement while introducing a distinctive wandering hours complication, displayed on two rotating satellites. Time is read as the satellites glide across the minute scale, with Super-LumiNova® accents ensuring visibility in low light. The UR-1.02 offers a practical 48-hour power reserve and features a two-position crown and an additional pusher for ease of adjustment. This movement reflects Urwerk’s commitment to mechanical innovation while maintaining traditional watchmaking excellence.
