Trilobe Nuit Fantastique, Brume

Following the remarkable success of Les Matinaux, Gautier Massonneau, the visionary founder of Trilobe, sought to further expand his artistic approach to watchmaking. His homage to the celebrated poet René Char received widespread acclaim from the horological community. Building on this tradition, Mr Massonneau introduced the Trilobe Nuit Fantastique collection, inspired by Stefan Zweig's short story 'Nuit Fantastique,' meaning 'fantastic night.' This collection serves as a perfect counterpart to Les Matinaux, symbolising the transition from morning to night. In 2022, Nuit Fantastique earned the prestigious GPHG Petite Aiguille Prize, cementing Trilobe's reputation for innovative and artistic timepieces. By intertwining avant-garde design with meticulous craftsmanship, the Nuit Fantastique collection stands as a bold statement in the world of haute horology.

Features

The Nuit Fantastique collection is a testament to Trilobe's dedication to blending art with horology. The watch's design incorporates a peripheral hour ring, minutes ring, and seconds ring, ingeniously arranged to form the symbol of infinity. This design choice is not merely aesthetic but imbues the timepiece with a sense of eternal elegance and mechanical poetry. The small minutes section rotates clockwise, while the larger seconds section moves counterclockwise, creating a mesmerising dance of time on the wrist.

The grain-finished dial adds depth and character to this minimalist masterpiece, ensuring it captivates at first glance. The Nuit Fantastique also offers a 'Secret' Edition, which personalises the timepiece by displaying the position of the stars at a specific date and time. This edition replaces the traditional Clous de Paris dial with a star-spangled design, making it a unique tribute to the wearer's special moments.

Mechanism

Specifically crafted for Trilobe, the X-Centric movement was designed in France and developed in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. This automatic mechanical movement embodies the brand's distinctive aesthetics and traditional Swiss watchmaking expertise. The X-Centric movement offers a power reserve of approximately 48 hours and operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour.
