About the TAG Heuer Carrera Collection
History
TAG Heuer Carrera Collection was first launched in 1963 and had a very simplistic design containing just the registers and applied markers on the dial. This collection soon went on to become one of TAG Heuer's first ever ranges of automatic chronographs and celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2013 has brought out new models every decade since it was introduced to the world.
Design
The Carrera is one of Tag Heuer's shining trademark ranges of Chronographs. The sleek and sporty finish checks off large and easy-to-read hour markers while greatly accentuating the luminous hands. The design also comes with a TAG Heuer logo at the crown with a Carrera marking on the dial. The Carrera's stainless steel strap adds to the powerful look that embodies this series. Fabric, titanium and leather are also available as strap options. The anti-scratch curved sapphire crystal and double anti-reflective treatment allow the wearer to use the watch with more freedom without fear of scratches or lack of visibility.
Features
The collection provides superior water-resistance capabilities with chronograph functions. Apart from the chronograph functions, the Carrera collection also features an automatic variant with a clean complacent dial. For women, the automatic variants are also equipped with mother-of-pearl dials and diamonds. For men, the addition of a tachymeter and various complications adds to the virtuosity of the collection.
Carrera X Porsche
TAG decided to collaborate with German car maker, Porsche. Inside the TAG Heuer Carrera collection is a variety of limited edition timepieces that redefine the actuality of the brand. With brilliantly finished chronographs, the Porshce timepieces are watches to reckoned with.

TAG Heuer Carrera Heritage line is a cleanly dialed watch which sports bold dial numerals and a nice looking alligator strap. The dial is a work of art with its stunning traditional flinqué texture. The dial is further enhanced by the sophisticated spiral effect on the seconds counter, and the polished hands and numerals. The Automatic Carrera Heritage is a 39mm case, available in different finishes, all of which use the Calibre 6 movement visible through a sapphire case-back.

I don't know why my review is getting clipped off, and only first line is showing up! And, the awful thing is that there's no option to edit or remove my previous posts, so moderators pls remove the prev two reviews! Anyway, so I just wanted to say that I like Baume & Mercier and Rolex more than TAG Heuer as a brand, in the luxury watch segment, but Carrera Heritage is certainly something that caught my attention, and wooed me away with its elegance, and appeal. One thing that I'd like to point out is that if you use even the finest of leather straps very frequently, they tend to wear out fast, and it's the same case even with this watch. I've the Rado True Jubile with Ceramic strap, and never had any problems so far in last 1.5 years (except the fact that I accidentally dropped it once, and had to cough out Rs 17,800 on glass + ceramic replacement and it was quite awful to spend so much just on repair!), but my friend's Tag Heuer is already showing signs of aging. I'm not 100% sure if it's the same model, but it looks strikingly similar. But, anyway I guess I paid money on getting the ceramic strap replaced, and he'll have to shell out similar kind of money on getting the leather strap replaced! On the whole, I do like the Heritage a lot, but given a choice, I'd any day go with a Rolex Date Just or Sky Dweller (and perhaps that's going to be my next investment as well) by putting a little more money, or a Baume & Mercier Capeland (and guess what my bro's crazy about this one, so once he starts hunting for a good watch, he'll most likely hit upon this one). Of course, all of this is a matter of personal choice, and personally I'm not that big a fan of TAG HEUER, but still love the CARRERA HERITAGE quite a bit.
