About the Parmigiani Toric Collection
The Parmigiani Toric collection embodies a rich heritage of fine watchmaking, rooted in the exquisite craftsmanship and innovative spirit of Parmigiani Fleurier. Launched in 1996, the Toric line pays homage to the brand's founder, Michel Parmigiani, and reflects the elegance and sophistication that has defined Swiss horology for decades. Known for its distinctive design and meticulous attention to detail, the Toric collection stands as a symbol of luxury, making it a coveted choice among watch connoisseurs.
Features And Design
The Toric collection is characterised by its unique round cases that feature a gently fluted bezel, setting it apart from traditional watch designs. Typically sized at 40mm, the cases are crafted from precious metals like 18k rose gold or white gold, exuding an air of elegance and sophistication. The dials are often adorned with intricate guilloché patterns, offering a captivating visual experience while maintaining a classic aesthetic. In addition to their striking appearance, the Toric models are powered by high-quality in-house movements, including the PF351 and PF110. These movements are visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, showcasing meticulous finishing details such as hand-bevelled edges and decorative Côtes de Genève. The collection features a range of complications, including date displays and moon phases.
Iterations
The Toric collection includes several noteworthy iterations, each demonstrating Parmigiani's dedication to both innovation and tradition. The Toric Chronometre, for instance, features a classic design with a focus on precision, while the Toric Héritage model pays homage to the brand's historical roots, incorporating vintage design elements with modern technology. Recent models have introduced unique dial colours and finishes, such as deep blue and silvered opaline. With each iteration, the Toric collection continues to exemplify Parmigiani Fleurier's commitment to excellence in watchmaking, making it a standout choice in the luxury watch market.
ABOUT THE MOVEMENT
The Parmigiani calibre PF780 is a manually-wound movement, crafted entirely from 18k rose gold. This elegant construction highlights a unique 18k rose gold bridge structure along with the two barrels and the balance wheel. This bridge is adorned with Côtes de Fleurier, adding a refined texture. Beneath, a sandblasted plate subtly emerges, creating a visual blend. Measuring a mere 3.15mm in thickness, the PF780 operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a robust 60-hour power reserve.
