About the Oris Divers Collection
Oris, prominent makers of luxury Swiss watches since 1904, began crafting diving models in 1965 with their iconic Oris Diver model. This watch laid the foundation for today's diverse Oris Divers series, where most vintage elements have been faithfully incorporated through reinvention for today's generation. Therefore, the present-day Oris Divers watches are modern tool watches with a pleasing classic undertone.
Blending Legacy With Modernity
The design of the Oris Divers watch best displays how the collection masterfully incorporates vintage charm with contemporary functionality. The Divers Sixty-Five features a stainless steel case, scratchproof sapphire crystal, and a unidirectional bezel, ensuring durability and safety for divers. The retro-inspired models maintain classic elements like the bubble-curved crystal and Light Old Radium-like Super-LumiNova on the hands and indexes, evoking the look of the original 1960s models. The introduction of bronze cases in the Carl Brashear editions adds a historical touch, paying tribute to the material's use in vintage diving equipment. Each model, from the Divers Sixty-Five Date with its steel and bronze combination to the pastel-coloured Cotton Candy editions, showcases Oris' commitment to fitting legacy with modernity.
Precision And Innovation
Oris Divers collection caters to professional and recreational divers. The collection boasts models with water resistance up to 1000 meters, helium release valves, and the patented Rotation Safety System (RSS) to secure the bezel during dives. The movements, like the automatic Oris 733 and the in-house Caliber 400, offer reliable performance with impressive power reserves. Innovations like the bidirectional 12-hour bezel in the Divers Sixty-Five 12H Calibre 400 allow for practical time zone tracking, while the chronograph models provide precise timing functions. The range of strap options, from steel bracelets to NATO-style straps, ensures comfort and versatility for divers and watch enthusiasts.
