History
The Swiss luxury watch making brand Longines was founded by Auguste Agassiz in 1832, and is currently being run under the Swatch Group, Switzerland. Introduced to the industry in 2005, the Longines Master Collection turned out to be a sensation in the market with its innovative colours and designs. It featured the use of an automatic GMT movement with a notably distinctive genuine metallic bezel, encasing vibrantly hued dials to bring about a multi-coloured transformation to the luxury watch-making business.

Design

Minute marking indexes are etched in black on the outer rim of the dial. The yellow gold plated hour and minute hands with a golden second’s arm enhance its glamourous appearance. Sapphire crystal finish glass coating over the case window makes the watch resist scratches and frictional wear offs easily. A patterned 18 carats yellow gold and steel bracelet holds the bezel firmly, with a folding clasp buckle that sets the watch apart in terms of elegance.

The Longines L2.128.5.77.7 Master Collection is equipped with self-winding L595/592 mechanical movement beating at 28,880 vibrations per hour, to provide a humongous power reserve of 40 hours. This time piece is also water resistant up to a depth of 30 metres, protecting against accidental immersion under water. While monitoring the regular time keeping functions of hours, minutes, and seconds, this watch additionally offers a date display window located at the 3 o’ clock position of the dial.
