About the Longines Conquest V.H.P. Collection
History
In 1984, Longines launched an ultra-precise movement that offered autonomy of up to 5 years and a gear position detection system. In 2017, the brand decided to revive this popular movement under the Conquest division and named it the Longines Conquest V.H.P collection.
Features
The Conquest V.H.P features a highly precise quartz movement, this movement sits in the middle of the features spectrum of the collection. Making it precise are various additions such as Magnetic Detection & Correction, Gear Position Detection System, and Shock Correction System. The Magnetic Detection & Correction system is fitted with two sensors that are built into the watch and are designed to detect magnetic fields. When a magnetic field is discovered, the movement is stopped right away and turned back on when the watch is out of the magnetic field. Apart from these technical features, each and every watch inside the collection is stamped with a V.H.P. on the dial. There are two basic types of watches inside the collection, the three-hand variant and a chronograph variant.
Movement
Equipped with high-frequency movements, the V.H.P watches are primarily quartz and trace their lineage back to the 50s. These high-frequency movements are perfectly tuned for keeping precise time with an accuracy of +-5 seconds.
