Longines Longines DolceVita

History

Initially, Longines launched the DolceVita range as a sub-collection of the famous collection, Elegance. The Longines DolceVita collection was introduced as a stand-alone collection in 1997 and since then has become famous for being an embodiment of style, perfection and novelty. The essence of the collection forms its roots in Italy La Dolce Vita when translated literally means “The Sweet Life”. It is reminiscent of the tranquil and leisurely Italian lifestyle, where people take the time to enjoy every aspect of living. The pace of life is harmonic without being dull and the days have ample hours for both work and play.

Design

Inspired by clean lines and balanced proportions, these watches feature symmetrical rectangular dials. An exclusive collection, the range is meant for those who appreciate uniqueness and elegance. For those with a penchant for leisure combined with luxury in design, there are diamond-studded pieces that feature radiant sophistication. Besides including metal wristlets, some of the models also come with an elegant alligator leather strap. Some of the timepieces also include additional straps giving it a more complete appearance.

Features

The Longines DolceVita is meant for various wrists trying to tell a similar story. The story is of a small seconds indicator at the 6 o'clock marker which is sometimes square and sometimes circular. In some of the DolceVitas, the 6 o'clock space also displays a date window. Displaying the virtues of elegant watches, some of the DolceVitas are also fitted with a gold crown.
