Longines La Grande Classique

History
Pioneered in the year 1832, this Swiss based brand was established by Auguste Agassiz in Saint-Imeir. He started off with his two partners by selling pocket watches, similar to those made by the large Swiss watchmaking companies. With a focus towards long term growth, in the year 1867 the Longines factory was set up, in turn developing a mechanized form of production.
With the start of the 20th century, Longines decided to aim at new and unique innovations, which would include style as well as performance. In the year 1913, the brand introduced its very first range of wrist watch collections, offering high level accuracy and precision. With gradual development, Longines was able to introduce its very first Quart clock by the mid-century. Now with a global presence in over 140 countries, Longines aims at reflecting elegance, tradition and performance.
