History
A globally acclaimed brand name, Longines was established in the year 1832, with Auguste Agassiz as its pioneering mind. Starting off as small pocket watch selling brand, Longines soon established its factory in 1867, in Saint-Imier, developing into a more mechanized production. With access to international markets, Longines was now able to produce stylized mechanisms with high accuracy. The start of 20th century marked a new phase for the brand. The company began producing high calibre wristwatches that ensured high reliability. With its tagline ‘Elegance is an attitude,’ Longines now aimed at high level performance with tradition, amalgamating style, quality and accuracy.
