About the Longines Conquest Collection
Founded in 1954, the Longines Conquest collection was the first step towards the brand's renewed strategy of product development and families. Before the 1950s, Longines did not create entirely in-house products. This development was a milestone in the legacy of Longines and the Conquest collection holds a special place inside the Weems of Longines.
Features
As simple as it gets, the Conquests also displays a bold yet charismatic persona on the wrist. In most of the timepieces, the Conquest features index markers and in some cases Roman numerals at the 12 and 6 o'clock markers. The hours and minutes are marked by meticulously designed by sword hands, whereas, there is also a date window at the 3 o'clock marker. Taking inspiration from the dive watches, there is also a protected crown. For women, the Conquest features a mother-of-pearl dial, providing a more elegant approach towards the bold Conquest.
Movement
The Longines Conquest collection is available in both quartz and automatic movement. Inside the automatic Conquests, the mechanical movement is the in-house L898. The L898 is a robust movement that provides a power reserve of approximately 59 hours.
ABOUT THE MOVEMENT
Longines Conquest chronograph watches reveal the brand's COSC-certified calibre L898. Comprising 37 jewels and an anti-magnetic silicon hairspring, this automatic movement is drawn upon the renowned architecture of ETA 2892 by ETA exclusively for Longines. For the chronograph functionality, an ETA chronograph module has been assembled on the top, featuring the characteristic horizontal configuration for the sub-counters. The calibre boasts a beat rate of 4Hz and a power autonomy of approximately 59 hours.
