History
Jaeger-LeCoultre introduced the Master Compressor Diving collection in keeping with its determination to consistently maintain an avant-garde approach to watch making. Basing the series on the legendary Deep Sea and Polaris diver’s watches, the Swiss watch-manufacturers equipped the collection with spectacularly original features and customized it for a quintessential diver’s watch experience. 2007 saw a new chapter written in the history of diver’s watches by the Master Compressor Diving collection. The Master Compressor Diving Pro Geographic is the star diver’s model containing all aspects required in a sports watch, making this a ready pick for divers. Like its illustrious predecessors, these models embody a sturdy blend of technical performance and style. Opening up whole new vistas for the world of deep sea diving, the watches have been created by Jaeger-LeCoultre engineers and artisans who understand the most demanding diver’s needs. Brimming with inventions, they are intended for deep sea-diving professionals and the keenest amateur divers alike.

Design
The Master Compresser Diving Pro Geographic portrays a sporty look by donning a 46.3 mm jumbo case in pink gold with a thickness of 20.4 mm. A water resistance of 30 bar or 300 metres is bestowed on it, befitting of a diver’s watch characteristic. The dial is black and contains luminescent hour-markers and numerals, keeping in mind that enhanced visibility is a must have for divers. The strap is made from articulated rubber.

Features
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Compressor Diving Pro Geographic 1852740 combines a masterful combination of aesthetic elegance and attention to detail in all its features. It is equipped with an ingenious patented mechanical depth gauge on one side of the case. The user is able to select a city at the turn of the crown due to this movement which also displays the time on a larger disc at 9 o’ clock.  The movement housed in this sporty recreation is the Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 979 with automatic, single barrelled movement and a height of 7.30 mm. The power reserve that fuels the watch has 48 hours to its credit and consists of a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. This watch model contains a host of innovative functions. The bare essentials being the hour-minute and seconds indicators. A 2nd time zone can be selected on the 24-city disc. The model also contains a depth-sensor chamber and a depth gauge hand. The dial is affixed with a date symbol and 24 time zones and a diving bezel to give a more authentic divers experience.
