About the HAUTLENCE HLXX Collection
The Hautlence HLXX Collection represents a unique chapter in modern horology. Renowned for their avant-garde approach to watchmaking, Hautlence have consistently pushed the boundaries of traditional design and functionality. The HLXX 20th Anniversary Edition, released as a limited series of 20 pieces, celebrates two decades of innovation, craftsmanship, and creative vision. This commemorative timepiece embodies the brand’s legacy while introducing updated aesthetics and mechanical features that continue to define Hautlence’s identity.
Design Language And Features
The HLXX retains the signature TV-shaped case that has become synonymous with the HL collection. Crafted from robust yet lightweight grade five titanium, the case features an integrated design with no visible lugs, resulting in a sleek, sporty profile. Its sharply faceted corners and polished surfaces are a modern reinterpretation of the original rectangular silhouette, instantly recognisable as a Hautlence creation. The bevelled sapphire crystal further enhances the watch’s visual appeal, capturing light from different angles for a sophisticated finish. The dial of this Hautlence watches follows a deconstructed approach to timekeeping, with distinct sections dedicated to the display of hours and minutes. On the left, a sub-dial features a sapphire disc that rotates every hour to indicate the jumping hour. Arabic numerals coated in Super-LumiNova ensure clear visibility. The retrograde minutes hand on the right resets every sixty minutes, contributing to the watch’s mechanical complexity. The lever system that connects the jumping hour and retrograde minute displays draws inspiration from locomotive coupling rods, showcasing Hautlence's penchant for innovative engineering.
At the base of the dial, the rotating Hautlence logo doubles as a small seconds indicator, adding an extra layer of movement to the timepiece. This intricate mechanism is powered by the hand-wound calibre A20, which is visible through the sapphire case back. Operating at 21,600 vibrations per hour and offering a 40-hour power reserve, the movement maintains the technical excellence that is a hallmark of the HL series. The HLXX Hautlence watches for men is fitted with a black integrated rubber strap, secured with a titanium deployment buckle. A quick-release system allows for easy strap changes, further enhancing the watch’s functionality and versatility.

ABOUT THE MOVEMENT
The Hautlence A20 hand-wound movement is a sophisticated calibre based on the original HL calibre. It consists of 156 meticulously crafted components and a power reserve of approximately 40 hours. The movement operates at a frequency of 3 Hz (21,600 vibrations per hour), balancing accuracy and durability. Key details include 24 jewels, which reduce friction and enhance movement longevity, and its manual winding mechanism, offering enthusiasts a more tactile connection to their timepiece. The movement’s intricate design is reflective of Hautlence's dedication to creating horological art.
