Edox Chronorally Chronograph 45

History

Enchanting and exhilarating, the Edox Chronorally collection is a perfect example of a rally car driving on the roads. Launched in 2008, the Chronorally comes from a family of watches that were designed to take the roads less travelled. After gaining traction inside the community of rally car drivers, Edox was chosen as the official timing partner for World Rally Championship (WRC) in 2010.

Features

The design of the Edox Chronorally watches is also noteworthy. They feature bold, sporty styling that incorporates a variety of racing-inspired details. For example, the Chronorally feature a tachymeter bezel that allows you to measure speed over a fixed distance, while others have a chronograph display that resembles a rally car dashboard. A chronograph by DNA, the Chronorally features the sub-dials in a bi-compax setup. These sub-dials are operated by a large pusher above the crown that gives the Chronorally a distinct flavour. Whereas, the date is displayed by a split window at the 6 o'clock marker. Being a rally-inspired watch, the Chronorally also features a retrograde day pointer on the dial pointed by a central hand.

BMW x Edox

For a few takers, BMW is a luxury automobile manufacturer known for creating the likes of the 3 Series or 5 Series but for some, it represents a highly intricate performance-oriented automobile tuner. Called the M Series, this sub-division of BMW specialises in tuning comfort cars into high-performance ballerinas. Edox decided to beautify these ballerinas with its touch of bling. The brand decided to collaborate with BMW M Motorsport by creating a limited-edition Chronorally that is limited to just 2000 units. Moreover, Edox is also the official timing partner for BMW M Sport.
