About the Eberhard & Co. 8 Jours Collection
Introduced in 1997, the 8 Jours collection by Eberhard embodies elegance and functionality, making it an ideal choice for daily wear. Not to mention that amongst the brand's portfolio of robust dive watches and chronographs, 8 Jours watches carry an air of refinement, a pre-requisite for dress watches. Named after its remarkable eight-day power reserve, the '8 Jours' line showcases exquisite timepieces distinguished by their ingenious engineering.
Features
Initially launched with a 39.5mm case, Eberhard swiftly responded to evolving consumer preferences by introducing the 41mm "Grand Taille" version in 2008. This larger case size, a trendsetting move by Eberhard, soon became a hallmark feature across their entire range, meeting the demand for more substantial timepieces.
Within the collection, the timepieces feature a beautifully crafted supple round dial adorned with an intricate Roman numeral chapter ring, a uniquely positioned power reserve indicator, and a running seconds counter. Additionally, several of the timepieces within the collection showcase the inclusion of Arabic numerals, adding a touch of variety and distinction to the overall range.
Mechanism
At the heart of these watches lies a patented mechanism comprising overlapping mainsprings, together measuring up to an impressive 1.5 metres, a substantial departure from the conventional 30-centimetre mainspring. This innovative design ensures an extended power reserve, setting the 8 Jours collection apart. The brand has impressively positioned a sapphire crystal aperture on the steel porthole caseback, to provide a captivating view of this unique mechanism and hammer home its exceptional running autonomy. Among Eberhard's offerings, the 8 Jours stands out as the epitome of sophistication, designed to be wound only once every eight days to ensure uninterrupted timekeeping. With its cohesive blend of style and functionality, the 8 Jours collection exemplifies the essence of dress watches, suitable for every occasion.
