About the Carl F. Bucherer Heritage Collection
The Heritage collection by Carl F. Bucherer, launched in 2018, integrates historical design elements with modern watchmaking innovations, making it a significant and distinguished addition to the brand's lineup. This collection features classic design elements such as round cases, domed sapphire crystals, and traditional dial layouts, often adorned with elegant sunburst finishes and vintage numerals. High-quality materials like stainless steel, rose gold, and leather straps underscore the collection's emphasis on luxury and durability. To add to the exclusivity of the watches, they come in limited editions of 88 pieces only.
Notable Iterations
The Heritage collection by Carl F. Bucherer pays tribute to the brand in its own unique way. The classic elements in the watches radiate Carl F. Bucherer design sensibilities. Within the Heritage collection, some notable models include the Heritage BiCompax Annual and the Heritage Tourbillon Double Peripheral. The Heritage Tourbillon Double Peripheral showcases Carl F. Bucherer's innovative peripheral rotor and flying tourbillon technology and the caseback depicts the engraving of Lucerne — the birthplace of Carl F. Bucherer. The Heritage BiCompax Annual features a bi-compax chronograph layout combined with an annual calendar, perfectly merging functionality with classic aesthetics. The Chronometer Celebration edition draws similarities to its 1960s predecessor, exuding classic charm and utilitarian aesthetic. Carl F. Bucherer found a unique way of giving homage to their favourite cities with the exclusive Hometown Editions. The landmarks from those cities are engraved on the caseback of these timepieces.
Revolutionary Technology
The collection utilises Carl F. Bucherer's in-house movements. The Heritage Tourbillon Double Peripheral is powered by the CFB T3000 movement, which includes a peripheral rotor and a floating tourbillon. This movement is also employed in Manero Double Peripheral watches as well. Depending on the model, both automatic and manual winding movements are used.
ABOUT THE MOVEMENT
Using the popular and reliable Sellita SW300 as the base, the CFB 1965 functions on a self-winding mechanism to power hours, minutes, seconds, and date functions in simple time-only Carl F. Bucherer watches, notably the Manero AutoDate. It measures 26.2mm in diameter and is composed of 25 jewels. Its balance wheel oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 beats per hour, yielding a power reserve of approximately 42 hours.
