The Baume & Mercier Capeland collection takes its name from the chronograph offered by the brand in the 1990s. In the 90s Capeland gained traction and the brand decided to launch it as a collection in 2011.
The Capeland collection inside the Baume & Mercier hangar features chronograph meters on the dial and a date window at the 6 o’clock marker. The chronographs depict a running seconds sub-dial at 3 o’clock and a 30-minute counter at 9. These counters are further complemented by legible index markers. The case is modestly proportionate with a diameter of 42mm and is available in both polished and matte finishes.
With adequately sized leaf hands, reading time is easier. Moreover, the hands are equipped with luminescent material for better visibility.
The Baume & Mercier Capeland collection is fitted with the automatic ETA 2894-2 movement. The Swiss movement offers a decent power reserve of approximately 42 hours vibrating at 28,800 vph.
