About the Arnold & Son Perpetual Moon Collection
History
During Baselworld 2013, Arnold & Son launched the world’s largest moon phase display inside their Perpetual Moon collection with a moon phase disc of 29mm. With the unique position of the moon phase coupled with intricate detailing, the Arnold & Son Perpetual Moon collection is an aesthetic journey into our natural satellite.
The Chronicles of the Perpetual Moon
The beauty of the Arnold & Son Perpetual Moon collection lies inside the dial. The dial features two constellations throughout the collection—the Big Dipper and the Cassiopeia. The Arnold & Son Perpetual Moon Eclipse I also features a rather opulent dial. Depicting a star-spangled night sky, the Eclipse I is studded with 35 brilliant-cut diamonds and a blue-tinted mother-of-pearl dial that acts as the night sky over which constellations are painted by hand. The chronicles of the Perpetual Moon do not end here. The dials inside a few timepieces feature a pleated decoration called the ‘Stellar Rays’ by Arnold & Son. The collection is also fitted with a variation where the dial is engraved in a guilloche pattern. A rare yet condescending technique, the guilloche pattern adds to the variety of the collection.
Features
Available in different case sizes, the Arnold & Son Perpetual Moon collection is also available in different materials such as red gold, platinum and stainless steel. With perfectly polished lugs and bezels, the collection is also home to a diamond-set bezel configuration. Whereas, the moon phase is perfectly placed between the 10 and 2 o’clock sectors of the dial. However, inside the Arnold & Son Double Hemisphere Perpetual Moon, the Moonphase is fitted within the two hemispheres of the dial. The collection is equipped with an in-house movement christened the A&S1512. This manually wound movement offers a power reserve of 90 hours and beats 3Hz or 21,600vph. Though inside the 38mm version, the A&S1612 movement takes charge.

ABOUT THE MOVEMENT
Perfecting the art of beautification, Arnold & Son created a timepiece that strikes the perfect balance between aesthetics and complex timekeeping. This timepiece is the Arnold & Son Perpetual Moon. The Perpetual Moon features one of the largest moon phase indicators on a wristwatch. Running this diamond of a timepiece is the A&S1512 manual winding movement. One of the unique features of the A&S1512 is that it also displays a moon phase indicator on the back of the movement. Pointed by a central hand, this sub-dial is fitted right beside the balance wheel. The A&S1512 also offers a power reserve of approximately 90 hours while vibrating at a frequency of 21,600 vph.
