About the Armin Strom System 78 Collection
Serge Michel and Claude Greisler co-founded the modern Armin Strom. Launched in 2020, the ‘78' in the System 78 collection stands for the year the co-founders were born in. This collection of watches for men and women was born out of the Armin Strom manufacturer's desire to offer haute horlogerie in its purest form, by revisiting some of watchmaking's core functionalities in innovative and novel ways.
Design And Features
The brand's signature approach of blending mechanical precision with artistic flair is evident across this stunning collection. While each iteration such as Tribute 1, Orbit, and Gravity Equal Force exudes its own distinct style, they share collective attributes that unify them. The elegant round cases are graced with intricately skeletonised dials, and many of these exceptional Armin Strom watches boast dual barrels, endowing them with an impressive power reserve.
Iterations
With the Armin Strom Tribute 1 series, the watchmaker decided to slightly tone down things. With no open work dials or complex mechanics, the Tribute 1 is a traditional dress watch with a modern design. Armin Strom could not deviate from the avant-garde DNA as the crown is unusually placed at the two o'clock marker and the fume dial showing time is fixed on the top-left corner. Launched in 2019, the Armin Strom Gravity Equal Force series was launched with a revamped case design and a new calibre with de-clutch mechanism. The power reserve indicator is also placed inside the dial positioned at nine. Following this, in 2022, the brand introduced the Orbit watches which hold a resemblance to the Gravity Equal Force watches except that it has an added date complication.
One of the first Armin Strom watches for women, the Lady Beat also incorporates the feminine aesthetics needed for a perfect women's watch. Be it the crescent main plate, the off-centre dial or the delicate case itself, the Lady Beat is a dress watch with horological complexities embedded in it. Born in 2010, the One Week watches are identified by their fully skeletonised dial with a power reserve indicator at nine, double barrel mainspring, and finger-like bridges.

ABOUT THE MOVEMENT
The symmetrical excellence of the Armin Strom One Week First Edition is bestowed by its stellar movement, calibre ARM21. This manual-winding mechanical movement is created in-house with a balanced design and modern architecture. Its configuration of two mainspring barrels stationed side by side on the dial, held by interestingly shaped finger-style bridges garners the most attention, creating a truly spectacular vista on the wrist. These barrels work in series and, along with an oscillating frequency of 25,200bph, provide a continuous and consistent power supply for one whole week, i.e. 168 hours. A discreet, conical-shaped power reserve indicator resides at 11 o'clock to display and monitor the calibre's outstanding running autonomy.
Calibre ARM21 is composed of 35 jewels and 195 parts, and it boasts advanced hand-finishing on the plates and bridges, featuring Cotes de Geneve stripping, straight and circular graining, and polished bevels.
