About the Alpina Alpiner Collection

The Alpiner collection is a reflection of Alpina’s expertise in creating robust, high-performance timepieces tailored for those who embrace adventure. Launched in honour of their legacy in sports watches, the Alpiner line has established itself as an essential part of their offerings, combining durability with refined design. The collection traces its origins to the introduction of the Alpina 4 in 1933, which set new standards with its four essential sports features: antimagnetic, antishock, water-resistant, and stainless steel construction. This achievement laid the groundwork for modern sports watches, and the Alpiner continues to uphold these values. . Over the years, the collection has not only built on these technical foundations but also introduced contemporary designs that reflect both elegance and strength.

Design And Iterations

The Alpiner collection is deeply rooted in Swiss tradition, with a focus on durability, precision, and timeless design. The overall aesthetic is inspired by an automatic model from the 1950s, with its sleek lines and minimalist dial. The sunray finish dial adds a touch of sophistication, available in various shades like silver, black, and grey. Alpina’s dedication to craftsmanship is reflected in the intricate detailing, such as applied indices, SuperLuminova dots, and the engraving of the iconic “three summits” symbol on the back of the case. This signature emblem, representing the Jungfrau, Mönch, and Eiger mountains, captures the brand’s deep connection with the Alps and its rugged terrains.

Throughout the years, Alpina have expanded the collection with several notable iterations. The Alpiner Automatic, powered by the AL-525 automatic movement, offers a classic three-hand display with a date function. The Alpiner Automatic Chronograph incorporates the AL-750 chronograph movement, featuring a telemeter scale for precise time-distance measurements. In 2023, the brand celebrated their 140th anniversary with the introduction of the Alpiner Extreme line, including limited-edition models that push the boundaries of design and performance. These watches feature a bold, cushion-shaped steel case, integrated strap, and a six-screw bezel, embodying Alpina’s spirit of resilience and exploration. With a water resistance of up to 660 feet, these watches are built to withstand extreme conditions, making them the ideal companion for any alpine adventure.
