The launch of the Grand Carrera series in 2007 marked a crucial turning point for TAG Heuer as they had to overcome the difficult task of reaching out to a new segment of older buyers, many of whom had never owner a watch by the brand before. TAG Heuer met this challenge with an undaunted spirit and went on to position the Grand Carrera as one of the world’s leading high-end watch collections. The Grand Carrera range is a premium design series combining many bestselling features to give watches that are extensive in functionality and outstanding in aesthetics.
Signature aesthetic elements comprise a hand applied logo, applied hour markers, rotating system disc, extensive Cotes de Genève finishing, double Sapphire case back and a double-crown. Each model in the series is available in a stainless steel bracelet, rubber strap or a crocodile leather strap. The standout design element of this series is the Rotating System (RS) disc used in all the models. The discs replace the traditional sub-dials. These discs have been elaborately decorated with semi-circular polished frames and impart the collection with a unique touch.
The Grand Carrera is the only one of TAG Heuer’s watches that is not available as a quartz version. All the models are automatic and their automatic movements have been COSC (Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres) certified to guarantee precision and durability.
