History
Nomos is a German watchmaking company that has made its way into the watchmaking world without holding the ‘Swiss’ tag. This young watchmaking brand was established in 1990 by Roland Schwertner in Glashutte, Saxony, Germany. Roland, a fashion photographer and a computer scientist, was fond of mechanical watches and decided to pursue his passion for horology.
Since then, Nomos has been producing watches with influences from German minimalism and a penchant for mechanical innovation. These precise timepieces by Nomos are not complicated and do not race towards creating unique timepieces but perfecting the art of timekeeping.

With that being said, the Nomos Glashutte Zurich collection still carries a sense of minimalism in its heart. With 24 city names engraved inside the dial, the Zurich collection holds the distinction of being a world timer with a classy silhouette.
