The name CVSTOS, meaning guardian in Latin, reflects the brand’s mission to preserve and advance horological artistry. They are a brand with a young soul, creating watches that are complex and characterful, easily recognisable on the wrists of discerning wearers. Their design sensibility, an amalgamation of cutting-edge technology, a streamlined aesthetic, and fine savoir-faire, has aided the brand in carving a distinct niche in the esteemed world of high watchmaking.
The Masterminds Behind The Brand
In the heart of Geneva’s historical Saint Gervais quarter, CVSTOS were brought to life by two visionary minds. At just 21, Sassoun Sirmakes, son of Franck Muller Watchland Group President Vartan Sirmakes, dared to carve his path in the watchmaking world. With a deep-rooted passion and an exceptional flair for marketing, Sassoun envisioned a brand that seamlessly blended innovation and creative design.
To realise this vision, he partnered with Antonio Terranova, a micro-technical specialist born in 1967 in La Chaux-de-Fonds. Antonio, fascinated by beauty and design from a young age, brought his bold concepts and technical prowess to the collaboration. Together, they forged a brand dedicated to trendsetters worldwide, with timepieces that reflect their forward-thinking ethos.

CVSTOS watches are characterised by their iconic tonneau-shaped cases and intricate dials. The unique shape adds to the aesthetic appeal along with enhancing the ergonomic fit and overall elegance of the timepieces. Meanwhile, the complexity of the dials, mostly skeletonised, is avant-garde and designed to grab the attention left, right and centre.
